The Birmingham City Council will meet next Tuesday to consider renaming a portion of Sixteenth Street North to Black Lives Matter Boulevard.
The resolution is seeking to rename Sixteenth Street North from First Avenue North to Sixth Avenue North as a way to honor the BLM movement and join that with Birminghams history of civil rights activism. The street was the epicenter of the Civil Rights Movement and the site of one of the most egregious racially-motivated hate crimes in history the church bombing that killed four little girls and sent shockwaves around the world.

The "Black Lives Matter Baptist Church "doesn't roll off the tongue the same way.
Names of streets are changing so fast it is a wonder the Post Office and other delivery services can keep up with the changes.
That offends me, so I’m guessing I can go and tear down all the Black Lies Matter street signs without fear of being arrested or interfered with in any way.
Wait until every street is named Black Lives matter Blvd.
Capitulating to Satan.
Capitulating to Satan.
Used to live on 16th Street SOUTH.........in 1969................
Well, another street people know they shouldnt go down/on.
Very useful. Helpful to know which street needs to be avoided.

What streets are being renamed “White Lives Matter”?
How utterly pathetic. These idiots are teaching the thugs that if you destroy enough property and throw a big enough tantrum, you win and get streets, schools, etc. named after you. What happened to honoring people who actually deserve to be honored, not street trash? There are long lists of humanitarians, scientists, doctors, statesmen, heroes—and BLM is not on them to deserve anything.
16? Hmmmm....thats 8+8. Doesnt that mean Heil Hitler?
Yo - Jew Lives Matter, too! ALL minorities is equal. Where my free phone and food and cash and preference at universities and corporations and ‘govmint and stuff? I DEMAND FREE STUFF BITCH ELSE I GONNA SMACK YOU ASS ‘WIF A MATZOH!

It sounds like it is a toll road where drivers may be confronted by toll collectors at any intersection and made to cough up protection money.
Cool - segregation and racism is hip again.
Can white counties now rename MLK to Robert E Lee Street?
Can we have an its ok to be white lane?
BLM’s coffers are now into the billion dollar range thanks to corporate America.
Since political causes and PACs can now become street names, where is Right To Life Way?
Great....another easily recognized no-go zone.....
