Why would CNN even bother going live on Saturday night for Donald Trump’s rally in Tulsa, Oklahoma? The network didn't plan to show the event. Instead, reporters spent two hours gloating over a lower crowd size and questioning Trump’s fitness to serve. After warning for a week about the health risk of attending the rally, Blitzer opened the show at 8 PM this way: “But in a surprising development, turnout for the event has been smaller than expected. The campaign is blaming protesters. The campaign is blaming the news media for the crowd size. Clearly, not a full house.”
Reporter Ryan Nobles declared victory even before the speech had begun: “Wolf, the Trump campaign was hoping that they were going to be able to demonstrate an enormous amount of enthusiasm behind the campaign and also make the point and the economy were ready to reopen. And at least by their own standards, fell short of those goals.”
“They certainly did,” cheered Blitzer.

Yeah I saw that article myself when researching this madness this morning. Then I saw that picture of the CNN screen capture and it all made sense, given what I wrote above, and also even what you wrote.
Yeah it’s possible also some watching it all unfold on Twitter and such, who weren’t there yet, were scared away by early reports of violent protesting, that again apparently (from what I’ve been able to find) were 2-3 hours before the event. But people who wanted to go, and were already there, could and were able to get in eventually, as pictures from the same gate in question clearly show people streaming in unimpeded, probably after the anti-trump lowlifes were suppressed.

The bottom line is, for whatever reason, there weren’t that many people at the rally. Even the Washington Times reported “But areas outside the arena appeared to be sparsely populated about an hour before the president’s arrival.”, confirming the screen capture from the CNN feed.
I still maintain the healthy response to this is not to try to explain it away with claims of protests interfering with those who wanted to get in, and in the future not to tout numbers of “requests” again; only after the event tout the numbers. And to use this infantile behavior by a bunch of spoiled kids as a reason to never let electronic voting occur again.
