For those who don’t know, Jenny Durkan is the idiot mayor of the city of Seattle.
I'm not a lawyer, but I have to think that there are business/homeowners in this 'chaz' zone whose Constitutional rights are being denied by the non-enforcement of the law.
Certainly there are real economic and property losses.
Can public officials who do not serve be held personally liable?

This would have been solved in 2 hours if the mayor had any balls
1) Cut off all the power to those blocks
2) Cut off water/sewer service
3) cut off internet/Wifi/telephone/cable tv all other communications
4) set up Cell phone blockers so cell signals can’t enter the zone
5) surround the zone with police so no one can leave/no can enter
6) block all supplies going in
7) trust fund kiddies would have all surrendered in about 2 hours.

We had an election for Governor about 20 years ago that was a “tie”. Recount after recount kept mysteriously “finding” ballots for the Dems from Seattle ridings. So the Republican candidate sued. They lost because they held the trial in a King County (seattle) court. And the Dem’s lawyer? The woman who would become the Seattle mayor. She learned well from her dad.
If Seattle is so debased and so depraved as to elect and reelect such a woman as its mayor, the people should be left to their fate. Decent Republican areas should not be forced to support Seattle and other Democrat controlled urban disasters with their tax dollars. The problem is that frightened liberals flee to Republican areas and take their destructive politics with them.

Silly goose. That might be relevant if the country had a functioning Attorney General and a president who cared about putting criminals away rather than just talking about it.
Pretty sure the courts have ruled long ago that the government has no legal liability if they don’t do their job and protect you.

For three weeks I have been waiting for the hue and cry from the public demanding law and order. Yet I hear crickets. One of two things have happened:
1.) The collective attitudes of the silent majority have awoke to a higher social justice consciousness.
2.) The collaborative orchestration by the media and leftist groups have cowed the silent majority into submission.
