Atlanta police shot and killed a black man late Friday night following a struggle outside a Wendys restaurant on the citys southside, in an incident that inflamed tensions over police use of force and racial injustice that have roiled Atlanta and cities across the nation since the Memorial Day death of George Floyd at the hands of police in Minneapolis.
Video of the shooting of 27-year-old Rayshard Brooks, who had allegedly fallen asleep in his car and blocked the restaurants drive-through, went viral across social media. Protesters marching for a third weekend in Atlanta for justice for Floyd and other black men and women killed by police quickly demanded a full investigation Saturday of the Brooks shooting, and the Georgia NAACP called for the termination of Atlanta Police Chief Erika Shields.

the biggest problem is trying to reconcile leaving your grown children to live across the ocean....that means leaving your grand children as well...and your sisters and brothers and cousins, etc..
Media: “Let us make this a big thing.
No one report the facts, just the narrative!”
How does a cop get teeth stolen away from them?
Think about it dumbass.
something changed in police attitude about 30 yrs ago where it was shoot to kill not shoot to wound .
No the cops with their over the top behavior are wrecking the rule of law. PS I am a lawyer. A conservative one.
How does a cop get a Taser taken away from them? Pathetic.
actually TWO cops tried to control him..he fought them both off
But I wonder what kind of holds or restraints have gotten banned over the years(ie choke holds) and what an officer is and isn’t allowed to use these days
it’s not like they could pin his neck down with a knee......
No real danger? Until the passed out guy decided to wake up and pull out in the street, thus killing a family of five? So people shouldnt have called the police? Maybe one of the kids working at Wendys should have knocked on his window and asked him to move his car? This was a volatile, combative person and thankfully no one else had to die because if his actions and his alone.
I’m up in the Redoubt. No place better.
I’ve seen this guy do his senseless jawing before. Likes to start stuff.
He’s a troll. Don’t feed the trolls.
well sometimes using discretion is the better part of valor..

It’s gone too far. Thank you for your comment.
Exactly. The only ones who think its a race issue are those want to think I is so their can add it to their list of unsubstantiated grievances.
So block off his car and TALK to him. Jeez. When I was young there was a drunk dude yelling at people in a McDonalds, and then fell asleep in a booth. The responding officer laughed about it and said to "let him sleep it off". About 20 min later the guy roused and the cop sat down across from him for like 30 min and ended up issuing a citation and giving the guy a ride home.
Don't be so quick to support trigger-happy cops who these days immediately feel the right to use deadly force -- and routinely murder people's dogs just for barking (another insane NEW development that NEVER happened years ago)
Our elected officials have allowed this belief to metastasize to the point where it can no longer be countered with reason or irrefutable evidence to the contrary ..
Let the left burn themselves down. I don’t care anymore.

Yes especially David Dorns family. They are sick of the killing too.
no. A drama queen who lives to fan the flames of hysteria
So I can attack cops, take their weapons and their right to defend themselves is gone because they are cops.
All because I was going to get carted off for DUI.
That would be a tough argument in my neck of the woods.
When the barbarians come to your home dont be a hypocrite and call the cops then.
I notice the pale morality of those who hate cop violence but are silent about ghetto violence.
You clowns are a joke!
I am not a troll or a guy. I am a female conservative attorney. Very opinionated. Not one to walk in lockstep because others disagree with me.
