You didn't notice that Washington fought with the British againt the French? That the signers of the Declaration of Independece could be tried for treason?
The Union soldiers fought against slavery, I am glad slavery was abolished, and think it would have been better not to fight the Civil War. But unlike Elizabeth Warren, and apparently you, I don't want to destroy monuments and graves of those who believed in fighting for their states.

The Left is driven by hate—a compulsion driven hatred of reality. They are driven, both by hatred and a fanatic, humanist need to replace the works of the Creator, with a sick humanist contrivance.

“Should we dig them up?”
The Soviets would dig up old enemies, then turn them over—facing down: the ultimate insult (to Soviets).
If their record keeping was poor, they could’ve undone a previous “turn”

I guarantee the voice vote was pre-arranged for the purpose of not getting pubbies on the record.
On display is the first purpose of every politician: reelection.
It’s why I won’t vote in the congressional portion of the November election

“...Shoot who ever tries to tear down the statues...”
Yes, that is exactly what needs to happen. I have more respect heroes such as Stonewall Jackson and Pat Cleburne than anyone alive. We need to preserve their monuments. The Freepers who claim they were just Democrats do not get it. They died resisting DC’s overreach. Anyone who thinks those statues should go has a real Taliban mindset.

This will happen as no one is out there actively defending the statues.

I fear it’s coming to a boil, and they’re going to experience a purge unlike anything they’ve ever imagined in their worst dreams. They have no idea how many former military are getting together, making plans, sharing info, developing pre-planned responses.

The
NDAA Executive Summary for FY 2021 says, "
Establishing a commission to study and provide recommendations concerning the removal, names, symbols, displays, monuments, and paraphernalia that honor or commemorate the Confederate States of America, addressing an implementation plan, cost, and criteria for renaming, among other procedures. The implementation plan is to be implemented three years after enactment," at the bottom of page 14.

I agree.
I wonder how McConnell and Ryan feel now, as the nation
they feared Trump would destroy, is destroyed by people they
empowered by criticizing him.
