You didn't notice that Washington fought with the British againt the French? That the signers of the Declaration of Independece could be tried for treason?

The Union soldiers fought against slavery, I am glad slavery was abolished, and think it would have been better not to fight the Civil War. But unlike Elizabeth Warren, and apparently you, I don't want to destroy monuments and graves of those who believed in fighting for their states.

When Washington fought for the French this was not The United States Of America. And listen smart ass and listen good: I DO NOT want to destroy Confederate monuments. I said here repeatedly I do not condone or advocate the destruction, vandalism or violence of any monument of the Confederacy. What I do support is their removal to a private property of any group sympathetic to the Confederacy who would have them. And they can for all I care.

Robert E. Lee and Jefferson Davis were not heroes of any kind. Not in my book.
