Sen. Mitt Romney (R-UT) on Thursday expressed support for removing the names of Confederate figures from at least some U.S. military bases.
Speaking to reporters on Capitol Hill, Romney said he would support a measure to rename military bases honoring confederate leaders in some cases. When asked about President Trumps blanket opposition to renaming bases, he replied: thats not where Id be.
On Wednesday, President Trump dismissed calls to renaming bases named after Confederate figures, declaring: Our history as the Greatest Nation in the World will not be tampered with.

Drop dead, Romney! The sooner the better!
Not speaking specifically about lowlife human scum Mitt Romney, but in general so sick and tired of the Left dictating political correctness and elected Republicans meekly acquiescing. Even Tom Cotton voted in favor. What a useless party. It was mostly useless before Trump came along and will go back to being useless after Trump leaves.
The Constitution perhaps??
he wishes he were on it....................
I support sticking a LAW up Mitt’s a$$, in some cases.
Mitt supports changing the name of Fort A. P. Hill to Fort Benny Hill, and Fort Bragg to Fort Jane Fonda.
If mcromney is for it, then anorexic Ann is for it. That means I am against it (and it doesn’t matter what it is either)
Mittens RINOmney is a Schrodinger politician - he exists simultaneously on both sides of every issue until measured - when he will instantly change to the side polling the best.
Were he only like Shrodinger’s cat - where we could measure and hope for the best.
I am so sick of the faiyfied POS

ALso under the Romney bus:
"Governor Mitt Romney, who touts his conservative credentials to out-of-state Republicans,
has passed over GOP lawyers for three-quarters of the 36 judicial vacancies he has faced,
instead tapping registered Democrats or independents -- including two gay lawyers who
have supported expanded same-sex rights, a Globe review of the nominations has found.
Of the 36 people Romney named to be judges or clerk magistrates, 23 are either registered Democrats
or unenrolled voters who have made multiple contributions to Democratic politicians
or who voted in Democratic primaries, state and local records show.
In all, he has nominated nine registered Republicans, 13 unenrolled voters,
and 14 registered Democrats."

Romney Rewards one of the State's Leading Anti-Marriage Attorneys by Making him a Judge
Romney told the U.S. Senate on June 22, 2004, that the "real threat to the States is not the
constitutional amendment process, in which the states participate,
but activist judges who disregard the law and redefine marriage . . ."
Romney sounds tough but yet he had no qualms advancing the legal career of one
of the leading anti-marriage attorneys. He nominated Stephen Abany to a District Court.
Abany has been a key player in the Massachusetts Lesbian and Gay Bar Association which,
in its own words, is "dedicated to ensuring that the Massachusetts Supreme Judicial Court decision
on marriage equality is upheld, and that any anti-gay amendment or legislation is defeated."

"Romney announces he won't fill judicial vacancies before term ends
Despite his rhetoric about judicial activism, Romney announced that
he won't fill all the remaining vacancies during his term - but instead
leave them for his liberal Democrat successor!
Governor Mitt Romney pledged yesterday not to make a flurry of lame-duck
judicial appointments in the final days of his administration . . . David Yas,
editor of Lawyers Weekly, said Romney is "bucking tradition" by resisting the urge to
fill all remaining judgeships. "It is a tradition for governors to use that power to appoint judges
aggressively in the waning moments of their administration," Yas said.
He added that Romney has been criticized for failing to make judicial appointments.
"The legal community has consistently criticized him for not filling open seats quickly enough
and being a little too painstaking in the process and being dismissive of the input of the
Judicial Nominating Commission," Yas said.

Mitt, wrong on so many issues...
Is he even trying to use his noggin?
Mormon jackass. Romney is the class act of a communist out to destroy America.
I’m coming to the conclusion that I’m ok with removing things that are reminders of a South that allowed slaves. It doesn’t affect our lives. I can understand blacks not wanting those things to be part of the symbolism of who/what America is.
On the other hand, there’s no reason for Blacks to be ashamed of or wish to erase their history as slaves. The slaves had no choice. Many people have suffered greatly and not felt ashamed of it. Christ comes to mind.
I'd support that!
So they shouldn't have any problem with replacing them with Union Generals, right?
Maybe he shouldnt wear his magic underwear! Phuckin idiot!
Like the Mountain Meadows Massacre? Shall we hold this prick accountable for his ancestors atrocities? This back stabbing SOB would do the same thing today if he could.
Brigham Young taught that the black man is eternally excluded from the priesthood. In Mormon speak, that means they can’t have their own planet and billions of babies.
There is a Brigham Young statue at the corner of State and South Temple in SLC. We’re watching to see what you do Mitt.
Does your conclusion include banning Gone With the Wind.
Do you actually believe that the Nazis are going to stop at Southern symbols? If so, then you are hopelessly naive.
The leftist Nazi mob are going after statues of Christopher Columbus and Thomas Jefferson. Are they symbols of the Confederacy?
Your willingness to surrender to these left wing terrorists is one reason why our country is being destroyed. When it comes to the violent, intolerant left, give them NOTHING . Offend them as much as possible.
The only thing you should give the Demonrats is hatred, scorn, mockery and violence.
Ive lived in the South all of my life. I have never considered owning a Confederate flag, nor did I ever dwell on the Confederacy or the Civil War.
But watching the violent, wanton destruction of Confederate monuments and symbols, Im considering purchasing one. Just for the purpose of giving the leftist iconoclasts the middle finger.
If you believe that the terrorists will stop at Confederate symbols, you are dead wrong, As I stated, they are already attacking Lincoln, Thomas Jefferson and others.
Mark my words, they will also ban the American flag. Their goal is the destruction of the US.
Never try to please the leftists. Their goal is your destruction.
Mitt Romney feeling guilty about his White and Delightsome Privilege.
Punk @$$ cultist!
