Capitol Police officers took a knee on Wednesday, to the cheers of demonstrators protesting police brutality on Capitol Hill following the death of George Floyd.
Protests have swept across the country for nearly eight straight days, and particularly in the Washington, D.C., region.
President Trump has promised to "clamp down" on protesters in D.C. and urged local officials to instruct law enforcement to "dominate."

In the entire USA last year, a total of 41 unarmed citizens were killed by police. Of those:
19 were white,
9 were black,
6 were Latino,
4 were other races,
3 were unknown
Give them all the reparations you can find but they’ll never change
Sad to hear but good to know the stats.
What’s next? The secret service caving in to the insurrectionists?
Taking a knee is exactly why DC was torn apart. I get the impression that most city cops are worthless.

If you are a sworn officer and take a knee,you have violated the oath and should just hand in the badge. I pray to god we have no “woke” cucks who are protecting the President.
American citizens should not be kneeling or bowing to anyone, except God.

And just three weeks ago most people, including most on this site, were lecturing about neighborhood crime in Georgia: “Call the police and let them handle it. Don’t try to do anything yourself, let the police handle it.”
That seems quaint now. As you say, they won’t come. Not in blue states; not in Atlanta. Soon not anywhere the Rev. Crump can get to.
The police won’t be coming. And you had better not do anything.
