The head of the Minneapolis police union says George Floyds violent criminal history needs to be remembered and that the protests over his death are the work of a terrorist movement.
What is not being told is the violent criminal history of George Floyd. The media will not air this, police union president Bob Kroll told his members in a letter posted Monday on Twitter.
Floyd had landed five years behind bars in 2009 for an assault and robbery two years earlier, and before that, had been convicted of charges ranging from theft with a firearm to drugs, the Daily Mail reported.

Oh boy, holy Joe, the Democrats catholic leader has been invited and will attend George Floyds funeral in Houston!!!!
Two bad people converged into one tumultuous event.
Are you kidding? Where did you go to school? I have family who are LEOs. Under no circumstances does anyone have the authority to do what that cop did to Floyd. Regardless of his past history. Get a grip man, get a grip
If you are unaware of a thing called due process you should look it up. Have an adult help you with the big words if they get confusing.
When I use to deal with cash transactions I was told to keep keep counterfeiter bills money and tell the person I had to report the bills, but I didn’t need to detain the person.
This is easier to do in a bank setting. In a store I might just give it back. I wouldn’t want to report a person for such a small amount because how could I know if the person passing the bill was even aware that it was counterfeit?
Kroll has been lambasted as a racist for years. Extreme hard line police union leader. The town hates him.
So you are arguing that killing the guy was “due process”?
but a lot of people on this thread sure are ...
This is in fact a civil rights issue (deprivation of rights under color of law.
Once the victim was in custody, the policemen were responsible for his health.
The Statement of Probable Cause for arresting the policeman, charges him with 3rd degree murder and manslaughter.
In Minnesota, intent is not an element in 3rd degree murder, but Depraved Indifference is.
There is a 9-minute long, continuous, uncut, unedited, not-monkeyed-with video of the guy on the ground in cuffs.
The policeman doesnt take his knee off the neck the whole time.
There are 3 or 4 bystanders maybe 6 feet away, two are videoing on their phones.
The guy says he cant breathe.
He keeps the knee on the neck.
The guy passes out.
He keeps the knee on the neck.
The guys bowels/or bladder releasetheres a stream coming under the car.
He keeps the knee on the neck.
One of the bystanders identifies herself as a first responder and begs the cop to get off and check for a pulse.
He keeps the knee on the neck.
One of the other policemen who had been holding him down, checks for a pulse, and tells him, hey, the guy doesnt have a pulse.
He doesnt check for a pulse himself.
He doesnt start CPR.
He keeps the knee on the neck for over two minutes (as recorded live on video while it happened from six feet away)
AFTER his fellow policeman says theres no pulse.
At one point, Mr. Kneecap pulls out a can of mace to brandish at a bystander who tries to get closer to help the guy. He gets an angry look on his face. Its the only time on the whole video he shows anything but a look of smug stupidity.
There is no way in hell he escapes conviction on Murder 3.
Once the police have arrested you and put you in cuffs, they become responsible for your safety.
Once a guy passes out, a knee on the neck is excessive force. (Mr, Kneecap had 10 prior excessive force charges against him. The county attorney for at least part of that time, is now the Dem Senator from Minnesota, Amy Klobuchar, who was hoping to be VP on the Joe Biden ticket.)
Once a guy you have in cuffs has no pulse, kneeling on his neck is WAY excessive force. Zombie movies are fiction, guys without a pulse dont suddenly become the undead and grab for your gun.
And for a 19-year veteran, to keep his knee on the neck of a guy with no pulse, for two minutes, on camera, in front of witnesses, after one of his fellow cops said there was no pulse?
Yeah, thats kinda open-and-shut on murder 3, no matter how the guys heart stopped.
The Constitution is supposed to protect us against this kind of crap.
Ill bet you try to plug electrical cords into water faucets, dont you?
Yep. They can and if you followed the Trayvon martin case youve seen how that can go.
Momma always said don’t make fun of the retards but for you I will make an exception.
If you were accused of a crime would you fight to defend yourelf or would you just roll over because some dumbass on the internet declared you to be guilty?
If it is true he had fentanyl and meth in his system, I doubt that the restraint tactics were the cause of his death.
At the very least, it would put up a reasonable doubt so large that they would have to drop the murder charge.
Fentanyl causes 50,000 deaths a year in the US.
It does not change the fact that you and pukes like you have convicted the cop without trial but you have.
I would fire my attorney if my defense was that I murdered the guy in my custody because he was a poopyhead.
[[Yep. They can and if you followed the Trayvon martin case youve seen how that can go.]]
Followed it - George was fully justified in shooting Trayvon- But to the point- citizen’;s arrests happen without incident as well- just as police arrest happen without incidence, and some not so much- it’s a gamble for sure- but when good people do nothing, evil prevails- thankfully we have citizens willing to take the risks, and help protect the public when needed-
Call the rioters, “Terrorists,” that’s my take on this.
OK on same rights, but hate the same lefts.
Certainly this is noteworthy if true.Another noteworthy factor,if true, would be that he was under the influence of one,or more, illegal drugs at the time of his arrest. I’ve seen that suggested but the autopsy’s toxicology screen is still pending.
The backstory is the story. The cop knew what he was doing. He had a second home in affluent Windemere Fla.
Protests there the last three or four nights.
“Was the club a front for narcotics and counterfeit money? Did Floyd “screw up” by passing the note? Maybe the dirty copy was very dirty”
How many deaths and burned out cities do you require for this cops acts?
