WASHINGTON (AP) — A divided Supreme Court on Friday rejected an emergency appeal by a California church that challenged state limits on attendance at worship services that have been imposed to contain the spread of the coronavirus.
Over the dissent of the four more conservative justices, Chief Justice John Roberts joined the court's four liberals in turning away a request from the South Bay United Pentecostal Church in Chula Vista, California, in the San Diego area.

Another reason to re-elect President Trump. If the Democrats win, they need only three seats to control the Senate (50 plus Biden’s VP.) If Trump wins, they need four because Vice President Pence will vote with the Republicans and we could retain control with 50 seats.

So true on all counts. Kavanaugh worries me. He wasn’t originally on the list. He was added later, and he may have some vestigial Harvard/Yale “wants-to-be-liked-by-the-establishment” thing going on.
Gorcuch wasn’t in the original 11 either.
Kavanaugh was apparently Kennedy’s recommendation to succeed him.
Well now, that raises the question inquiring minds needs to know:
If a gay couple DID choose a Muslim bakery, which side does the U.S. Supreme Court choose and what would be their twisted logic?
