And the democrat run cities and states where it's happening are actively allowing and even encouraging it to happen. They want change (fundamental transformation of America, ie, throw out our system and replace it with socialism) and they want it now!
They've been trying for four years to take down Trump and have failed. So now they're going to burn it all down if they have to. Scorched earth. Even an attempted direct assault on the White House tonight.
If this continues unabated, the president may have to call out the troops to put down rebellions.

Smoke-filled room, Nancy, standing on a stepstool, Chuckie leaning over, vulture-style with a slight “I like it” grin on his face, Georgie hovering over the scene envisioning his new leadership position as Grand Wazir of newly-founded Sorosistan, banks of desks with staffers (Schiff, Swallwell, Waters, not to mention Scarborough, Blitzer, Maddow, Wallace - until they have to report to their various newsrooms) all taking calls from field commandos. And, of course, sitting off to the side, a variety of invited guests: DiNero, Behar, Reid, Goldberg, Swift, O’Donnell, etc. huddled together discussing their upcoming benefit concert to Rebuild America after “Operation America Needs To Invent Freedom Again” (also known as Operation ANTIFA) successfully concludes.

Is the news exaggerating the turnout? I live in the center of L.A. and didn’t even know there were protests going on until my friend in Atlanta let me know while watching TV. I don’t feel a city takeover by any means. (I was a small child when the L.A. riots if 92 happened and this doesn’t feel comparable.)

I live in the heart of L.A. and was a small child during the riots of 92 (albeit in the suburbs at the time) — I wouldn’t have been aware that there were protests going on yesterday without FR or my friend in Atlanta telling me while watching TV. Clearly this is not 1992 level chaos.
I don’t want anyone getting hurt, but find it kind of refreshing that Covid aka the Virus Idol has been pushed out of the headlines and that at least some of the protest spirit has to do with the lockdown angst and citizens being fed up with authority overreach in general. I personally see this working against blue-state structures more than posing a threat to the order Trump is trying to achieve.
