Mike Freeman, county attorney for Hennepin County, condemned the actions of white cop Derek Chauvin as 'horrific and terrible' But he added there was 'other evidence that does not support a criminal charge' Prosecutors must decide if the cop used force deemed 'excessive' when he knelt on George Floyd's neck for eight minutes until he passed out and later died Freeman warned the investigation 'can't be rushed' He voiced fears of a repeat of the Freddie Gray case in Baltimore in 2015 where all charges were dropped against cops involved in the black man's death Outrage is building as still no arrests have been made over Floyd's death with protests entering their third day in Minneapolis

Holy cow. The residents of MN are totally screwed...by their own decisions.
The government leaders and prosecutors in Minnesota will move mountains to run this white cop through the wringer. For them to come out and say such a thing is remarkable. It probably means that the autopsy revealed a cause of death that had nothing to do with him getting manhandled by the police.
Let us assume you are right. The man was high as a kite. Nevermind we have video of him handcuffed and being walked around, with no sign of impairment.
So high as a kite, in the middle of an overdose. Did the actions of a knee to the neck help or hinder his death? Once a man is in cuffs (deceased was in cuffs since he was pulled from the car) it is the officers responsibility to ensure his health.
We see that as he went unresponsive, the knee remained in his neck. Even after an off duty first responder called for a pulse check. Heck the knee stayed even after the ambulance got there. It was not removed until they had a gurney there and rolled the lifeless body onto it.
No, you see, high as a kite or not, the responsibility of that officer, once the man is in cuffs, is to ensure his health. Essentially when this man went comotose the officer should have reverted to his second job of being a first responder and administering life saving techniques.
You’re entitled to rush to judgement, As for me, I’m going to wait for all the facts.
Exactly. “Yes sir. Here are my hands sir.” DO NOT try to fight it out on the street because you are POd that the cops are picking on you. 99.9% chance you’ll lose. Let a lawyer fight it for you. Of course if you’re on drugs or boozed up, all bets are off. :-)
Because I listen to Dan Bonginos podcast.
He was a NY Policeman and Secret Service Agent.
He says you can tell the full weight of the officers left knee
was on the mans neck because in the video the officers right
foot was loose and moving, meaning no weight on the right foot.
If u disagree take it up with Bongino.
I think they moved on to TJ Maxx.
Thank you both for your critical scientific analysis. I expect youll both be called as expert witnesses.
Did he pass his required psych eval before he was hired?
Did he fail the psych eval, and was hired anyway?
If so, who hired him? Who gave a known sociopath a gun, a badge, and life or death authority over everyone he meets?
Hold them accountable in a court of law for reckless endangerment resulting in a loss of life.
Giving a psychopath a gun and power is no more reasonable and prudent than throwing an enraged rattlesnake into a kindergarten.
Apply death pressure to a man passing fake 20s?
You live in a different world.
The media needs to be held to task to highlight who the dealers and suppliers are.
The media, especially Hollywood which glorifies illicit drug use, needs to be held to task for their contribution to his death and how illicit drugs are a blight on communities.
Sports figures and celebrities who glorify illicit drug use also need to be held to task for their contributions to this man's death.
If these officers are innocent, they need to be made whole at the expense of the Democrat party since the politicians involved are Democrats and the media outlets, not the taxpayer.
Then why were the 4 officers immediately fired?
Why not wait until the facts come in?
True, IF the votes were honestly cast and counted.
Read the references in post 21. It’s odd to me why this is an acceptable tactic in the MPD, but maybe the area had a problem with bystander mobs assaulting cops during arrests.
I’m sure this is a problem in skinny neighborhoods.
Manhandled?
Applying death pressure to one of your main arteries that feeds blood
and oxygen to your brain controlling your breathing is manhandled.
Why not just put the man in the back of a patrol car?
If he wants to bang his head in the patrol car, thats HIS problem.
As evil a crime as selling loosies...
Just so you know, the man had been cuffed since he was taken out of his car. He was then sat down on the sidewalk. Then walked across the street, then he was put down and the knee to the neck applied.
I guess my point is, when we see the knee to the neck, it was not done to apply cuffs. He had been in cuffs for 15 minutes or so before the viral video.
Who gave a known sociopath a gun, a badge, and life or death authority over everyone he meets?

You cant be serious. A huge number of cops are ex-schoolyard bullies with inferiority complexes that just love to harass the public. If you seriously arent aware of this then man you just dont know what really goes on in police forces. Prison corrections officers are THE biggest prison gang there is. They are a unique breed of human.
What I find so appalling about this, which seems to be lost on everyone, is the forgotten notion than when you have somebody that is in your custody and POWERLESS you have an EHTICAL OBLIGATION to protect them from harm. It is YOUR RESPONSIBILITY. They did the opposite. A handcuffed man, face down on the ground, is, by definition, POWERLESS and is in CUSTODY. To put that kind of force on the persons neck like that is COMPLETELY unacceptable.
Then he died.
