The woman screamed and the man fled but several people in a nearby river bottom where there was a homeless camp chased Mendez and knocked him unconscious, police said.

He was then placed in a pull wagon and left on a bike path near the Ventura County Fairgrounds, authorities said.

My opinion of the homeless has moved up a notch. Not only were they proactive but also neat in that they picked up the trash.

Always wondered what the life expectancy is of people who have been convicted of felonies. Given the amount of drug use, with who they associate, and how they behave, suspect that the average felon dies at a younger age than non felons. Anyone aware of any actual data on the subject?

As opposed to a wheel barrow.

Fits behind a bike or a ATV. For yard or miscellaneous clean up.

They should be commended for performing a necessary public service.

Murderous criminals who have not been formally convicted of felonies is too long. George Soros and Nancy Pelosi being just two such examples.

See? The homeless encampments are actually filled with wonderful heroes and first responders.

Some of the comments here are disturbing.

He was a suspect and even if he had committed the act, he deserved his day in court. Now he'll never be convicted and we are left with mob justice. Which should never be condoned.

At least the public won’t have to watch the perv be housed and fed at tax payer expense and then sit thru a expensive trial only to have him set free to prey on the unsuspecting public again and again. Justice was dispensed in this case. Issue was settled.

Yeah, maybe we should give them administrative jobs at blue state nursing homes where the authorities are murdering their defenseless residents. I bet some of them could be good attorney generals, too, in that they wouldn’t turn their backs on the homicides being committed.

Is anyone keeping an arrest record?

Sure, sometimes the giant ants from Them come out, other times The Terminator is chasing a hunter killer on his motorcycle in them.

The drug use by people, from the celebrities to the homeless, certainly takes it’s toll on their bodies. And the destruction lasts forever. We love to listen to Natalie Cole’s ‘Unforgettable’ CD during our weekend dinners. But lament the fact that she and her beautiful voice left us way too soon. Always wondered if her former drug use was a contributing factor.

‘Them’ haunted me when I was young. Shouldn’t have stayed up so late watching scary movies with my older brother, in the 60’s.

Yes. Usually at the bottoms of the rivers.

As kids down on the farm, we knew them as Express Wagons. The Amish here in Pennsyltucky make some real beauties, with sideboards and big fat pneumatic tires. I bought one for the grandkids...and because I liked the looks of it a lot, myself.
(An honest confession is good for the soul).

I do not condone sexual assault, but he deserved his day in court. And she unleashed her dog and followed it into the brush - possibly risky behavior on her part. And no, I am not blaming the victim for what happened.
