The drug use by people, from the celebrities to the homeless, certainly takes it’s toll on their bodies. And the destruction lasts forever. We love to listen to Natalie Cole’s ‘Unforgettable’ CD during our weekend dinners. But lament the fact that she and her beautiful voice left us way too soon. Always wondered if her former drug use was a contributing factor.

In Natalie’s case addictive tendencies were baked in the cake. Don’t forget her father Nat King Cole died young from lung cancer. He smoked well over a pack a day.
So the same genes that gave Natalie her voice and her desire to entertain also left her vulnerable to substance abuse as a way to manage all that talent.
