The New York City Commission on Human Rights has announced that it is launching an investigation into the case of the white dog-walker who called the cops on a black man in Central Park.
“At a time when the devastating impacts of racism in Black communities have been made so painfully clear—from racial disparities in COVID-19 outcomes, to harassment of essential workers on the frontlines—it is appalling to see these types of ugly threats directed at one New Yorker by another,” said Sapna Raj, deputy commissioner of the Law Enforcement Bureau at the Commission on Human Rights.
“Efforts to intimidate Black people by threatening to call law enforcement draw on a long, violent and painful history, and they are unacceptable. We encourage Ms. Cooper to cooperate with the Commission and meaningfully engage in a process to address the harm that she has caused,” Raj added in a statement.
The commission said it learned of the incident from the video recorded by Christian Cooper, a black bird-watcher, who asked the white woman, Amy Cooper, to put a leash on her dog in the Central Park Ramble, in accordance with regulations.
Amy began approaching the man and snapped, “I’m going to tell them there’s an African American man threatening my life.”

Despite some attempts to make it so, Karens are of all races and appear in any country. I personally have encountered black Karens, African Karens (they’re not necessarily the same thing), Asian and Hispanic Karens.

By what authority does the “New York City Commission on Human Rights” have to investigate a dispute between two citizens that are not acting under color of law and have not filed legal action against each other. Some busybody moron there watched it on YouTube and decided go intrude despite having no standing in the matter

The woman deserves the shame being heaped on her. She was willing to lie just because she was pissed off that her dog couldn’t run wild and free through a sensitive area. In my experience not untypical of a corporate VP who would say or do anything to get a leg up. But was it racist?? I think not. At least if you think of racism as a belief that your race is superior to another, and take actions on that belief. I see no evidence of that here. Instead I see a willingness to use race as a club, ie she thought it would paint a more terrible and urgent picture if she told cops she was being threatened by a black man. So while she may not be a racist herself, she was happy to use race. In this respect, she is like Jessie Smollett. I don’t know that he is racist, either. But I believe his incident showed his willingness to lie and use race as a club. Both she and Jessie are 100% self-centered and and lie and use people to advance a narrative favorable to them. It’s disgusting. But neither incidents are prima facie evidence of racism. Unless you use today’s definition of racism, which is ANYTHING related to race.

The more these types of incidents get exposed, the more people learn that liberalism is a mental disease with racism at its core.
From what I’ve read the so called “victim” was no great shakes but was being a total jackass and rather threatening in his approach.
At one time two people being jerks would have been a blip on the radar and life would have gone on. This escalating of unfortunate encounters into salt the earth social media campaigns is a sad result of SJW gone wild.
