LANSING, Mich. – Michigan Gov. Gretchen Whitmer gave an update Tuesday night regarding the state’s response to dam conditions and flooding in mid-Michigan.
A breached dam caused by several days of rainfall and rising water has forced the evacuation of about 10,000 people in mid-Michigan.
READ: Evacuations underway in mid-Michigan after Edenville Dam breaks Whitmer urged residents in Midland County to evacuate as soon as possible. She said both the south and west side of Midland had been evacuated.
“Please, get somewhere safe now,” Whitmer said. “This is serious.”
She asked residents to either go stay with a relative or friend. If they didn’t have a place to stay shelters were made available.
Do they have to wear masks? Are only essential people to be evacuated?
“Stay at home ... Evacuate!”

I’m not from the area, but it sounds serious. Prayers for those who may be in harm‘s way.
She only “urged” them to evacuate? I would have expected her to have ordered them all out at gunpoint.
Now that she has zero credibility, people will probably just stay home to watch the break.
CHICAGO is flooding also. Is this how the COVID-19 shelter in place orders will be lifted?

Someone on another forum said a nuclear reactor (Dow chemical plant) is in the flood zone for one of the breaches. I don’t know if true

When you misuse states of emergency to oppress people, its like crying wolf, now a real emergency comes up and you are screwed
