President Donald Trump on Friday removed a watchdog critical of personnel moves in the State Department.

Trump informed Congress of the move in a letter to House Speaker Nancy Pelosi, D-California, in which he gave no specific reason for firing State Department Inspector General Steve Linick.

Trump wrote he “no longer” had full confidence in the State Department's inspector general.

Anyone appointed by Obama, get rid of if you’re able.

They are not friends to the Republic.

All I need to see are the words “Trump fires..” and almost CERTAIN it’s good news :)

Because i’m figuring 4 out of 5 people in that swamp need to go.

And if someone he hired turned out to not be quite what they said they were, they need to go too.

“you’re fired” has taken on a whole new and much more important meaning for Trump :)

Just shootin’ from the hip here. Wondering if recent declassified documents revealed that State Department personnel were involved in unmasking people, and maybe the State Department IG knew of it but did nothing.

President Trump should have started a massive purge in January 2017.

I guess his contract for the next season of “America’s Got Subversives” didn’t get renewed, and he won’t make it to the Final 10???

I just looked to see who had the job before Linick, and there was no one. Howard Krongard had been appointed by George W. Bush, and served until January 15th, 2008. According to Wikipedia:

"Throughout the tenure of Secretary of State Hillary Clinton, there was no permanent inspector general at the State Department. Moreover, President Barack Obama did not nominate anyone for that position while she was Secretary."

Well isn't that interesting? No wonder they got away with all the crap they did. Linick was appointed September 30, 2013, only after Kerry took over.

Hmmm! Very interesting, and suspicious.

“President Trump should have started a massive purge in January 2017.”

I think Trump was a bit naive back then. He gave a lot of swamp dwellers the benefit of the doubt, thinking they would come on board.

He has learned his lesson.

He didn’t know how terrible the permanent state and the Left in particular were. Now he does.

Do any of you dimwits pay attention?

Trump was being attacked from all sides, both parties from day one.

He didn't have people waiting to join him. He had/has to take and try to work with what was/is given to him.

Get a clue!

*********

Another tactic of his that has been on full and constant display, but so many are willfully blind to is...

Knowing he’s stuck with the SES and, union hiring and firing rules and all sorts of other DS protective measures, he brings in the usual suspects, gives them enough rope to hang themselves, then deals with them after they’ve done so.

All the while keeping them fairly well isolated from being able to do any further damage.

A lot of what the msm pushes as people getting over was actually people burning themselves.

Yeah. If I was as naïve as that Trump fellow, I probably would have wasted my fortunes down to 11 Billion, and had to get some thankless government job for One Dollar per quarter.

Thank goodness, I'm smarter than that.
