I think Trump was a bit naive back then. He gave a lot of swamp dwellers the benefit of the doubt, thinking they would come on board.

He has learned his lesson.

Yeah. If I was as naïve as that Trump fellow, I probably would have wasted my fortunes down to 11 Billion, and had to get some thankless government job for One Dollar per quarter.

Thank goodness, I'm smarter than that.

Politically he was naive.

Look at the atrocious appointments he made early on...

Sessions, Priebus, Bannon, Scaramucci, Mattis, Rex Tillerson... People that stabbed him in the back.

He has done a much better job with personnel later on.

BTW - I like Trump a lot, but reality is reality. I got a feeling he himself would agree that his early picks were a disaster - they had no loyalty to him and leaked like sieves.

You can pretend otherwise, but facts are facts.
