In the Ahmaud Arbery case, the media, as always, are theorizing in advance of the data, and they are doing so in service to a divisive racial agenda. The undisputed facts (excluding the inevitably self-interested statements from the men arrested) are as follows:
Travis McMichael shot 24-year-old Arbery. The question is whether it was self-defense, manslaughter or murder.
Greg and Travis McMichaels (father and son) are white, while Arbery was black.
Videos show Arbery entering a home under construction and Arbery inside the construction site.
Shortly before Arbery was shot, Greg called 911 to report that “There’s a black male running down the street.” He’s then heard to say “Goddamit. C’mon, Travis.”
In a second 911 call around the same time, an unidentified caller reported a possible burglary in the neighborhood, saying, “There’s a guy in the house right now, a house under construction.” Next, the caller said, “And he’s running right now. There he goes right now.” The unidentified caller reported that the possible burglar had been seen before in the neighborhood and had “been caught on the camera a bunch before at night,” adding “It’s kind of an ongoing thing out here.”
An infamous video (above) shows Arbery either running or jogging down the left side of the street. The verb “running” implies escape or aggression. The verb “jogging” has a recreational feel.
A white pick-up is seen further up the road, on the right side, with a man standing by the driver’s side door. Arbery abruptly veers across the street towards the right rear of the truck. A man stands in the truck bed. The video swerves, showing only foliage.
Seconds later, Arbery is running at top speed counterclockwise around the truck’s front right side.

Bottom line, right there. Perfectly said.
Everyone should repeat this to everyone we know to counter the MSM false narrative.
Thanks all for getting this truth out.

RE: Gregory McMichael worked directly for the DA’s office and in particular was one of the investigators who looked into an incident involving Ahmaud Arbery several years ago.
So, you are saying that Gregory KNEW the man Ahmaud Arbery and recognized him when he was running/jogging?
Are you saying that he stole a hammer and thats why they killed him? I dont understand why they needed to be involved. They called 911. That was the end of their responsibility. Quite frankly the two of them are dumb.
Why is FR obsessed with this incident? There have been far too many threads on this one topic.
The video has been marked as age restricted. If you don’t have a YouTube account, you can’t see it.
Sorry, I didn’t realize that until you had the problem.
Do construction guys even use hammers anymore? Or do they use nail guns?
I agree with that. I have paid no attention to it. As far as I can see, somebody did something stupid. That’s not news. It’s not interesting. It happens all the time.
Some people want this to be some sort of Trayvon Martin incident. I say we shouldn’t dignify it with any “great meaning”. Somebody did something stupid. I’m not even picking sides and saying Who did the stupid thing. I don’t care.
“Do construction guys even use hammers anymore? Or do they use nail guns?”
Both. That’s why stores sell both.
You clearly have not seen the detailed and full color pictures from inside the garage he was invading that make it quite clear that Arbery was inside this house. Even his "Aunt" admitted that was him.
What concerns me is the construction guys, where they here legally? /s Hmmm... inquiring minds want to know.
Yup. I believe the video guy will testify that he saw Arbery drop the hammer, but we will have to wait and see.
I think the last framing hammer I bought was $5 AND WAS MADE IN CHINA.
“Why is FR obsessed with this incident?”
Because - my opinion - a lot of folks on this site do not like California and New York blue culture. And do not want to become like them.

I’d kill to get that hammer back!
I don’t support what the McMichaels did, but I never think of burglary as a nonviolent crime. Too often a burglar surprised by the homeowner does not flee, but attacks.
If a woman is raped and murdered in her home, detectives look at known burglars in the area for good reason.
Arbery attacked when cornered. Doesn’t prove he was a bad guy; in my youth, I turned on harassers and gropers, people who were tormenting me.
But if he was a burglar, it gives an idea how he might have reacted if he found someone home.
Just like most of these stories.
ALL parties involved acted idiotic. That is why it is a mess.
Well it sure looks like he stole a hammer from the house he was burglarizing, unless he had it on him before it all stated. Civilians following a suspect happens all the time, this has led to allot of apprehensions. As far as I’m concerned nobody would have gotten killed had the suspect not attacked an armed man. The suspect was the only dumbass in this case.
And this man had on boots, not good for jogging.
That is completely incorrect, widely debunked, and totally irrelevant. I wonder why folks keep saying it.
I guess. I guess well see what the jury decides since they get all the information. I hate the speculation that we get.
One of the McMichael's apologists here mentioned that they, the McMichaels, suspected Arbery of stealing a .38 caliber revolver out of Travis' truck, before it was pointed out to him that he had just admitted personal animus on their part and a motive for chasing him down like he had just done harm to someone.
Turns out the guy, who was no angel BTW nor was he a "jogger", had possibly swiped a hammer from the construction site. Probably doesn't even meet the Georgia standard of felony theft.
