California salons file lawsuit against Gov. Newsom's coronavirus closures amid reopening plan: 'It's injustice'

The Center for American Liberty filed a federal lawsuit Tuesday against California Gov. Gavin Newsom on behalf of the Professional Beauty Federation of California (PBFC) in an attempt to reopen hair salons statewide.

The organization, in collaboration with the Dhillon Law Group, represents more thn 500,000 hair salon owners who want salons to be reclassified from stage three in California’s reopening process, and be allowed to open now.

“They’re licensed professionals with degrees [in] safety and sanitation… it doesn’t make sense why nail & beauty salons remain closed, it's injustice," plaintiff attorney Harmeet Dhillon said at a press conference Tuesday.

I agree. But, unfortunately, 85-95% of the American sheeple have been cowed into submission by the politicians and the MSM.

We can only hope.

The problem I see is that they won’t necessarily vote for the people doing this now, but are likely to vote for other dems because they’re going to think that somehow they are different.

Barbers and hairdressers are probably the cleanest business around with the greatest possibility of tracking since they’re normally by appt only. Each with a mask and gloves and let it happen.

I don't understand why the feds don't put an end to the trampling of the peoples constitutional rights!?

Regardless of what or how individual state constitutions are written .. States are subject to the U.S. Constitution, same as the feds!

“No State shall make or enforce any law which shall abridge the privileges or immunities of citizens of the United States.”

This greatly expanded the civil and legal rights of all American citizens by protecting them from infringement by the states as well as by the federal government.

The third clause, “nor shall any State deprive any person of life, liberty or property, without due process of law,” expanded the due process clause of the Fifth Amendment to apply to the states as well as the federal government.

Over time, the Supreme Court has interpreted this clause to guarantee a wide array of rights against infringement by the states, including those enumerated in the Bill of Rights (freedom of speech, free exercise of religion, right to bear arms, etc.) as well as the right to privacy and other fundamental rights not mentioned elsewhere in the Constitution.

In Marbury v. Madison (1803) the Supreme Court announced for the first time the principle that a court may declare an act of Congress void if it is inconsistent with the Constitution.

Everything that these dictators are doing is unconstitutional .. regardless of any State or added on Amendment laws!

As a citizen, not owned or working for the state and who's God Given Rights were affirmed by the Highest court in the land, I have the Right ... the duty, not to obey any unlawful order, just because some 'appointed' entity has deemed it a law!

Correct, and as observe the sheeple around me wear their slave masks while walking and driving alone, I realize how lost our nation is.

Something to think about, an article I came across.
I’ve partially complied when I thought it was about my health and of course I was concerned for my family with this unknown virus “invading” our country. When I found out the number of COVID deaths were being exaggerated for monetary purposes, the lightbulb went on.This will make you think...

When the State tells you it’s safe to go to Home Depot to buy a sponge but dangerous to go and buy a flower, it’s NOT about your health.

When the State shuts down millions of private businesses but doesn’t lay off a single government employee, it’s NOT about your health.

When the State bans dentists because its unsafe, but deems abortion Visit is safe, it’s NOT about your health.

When the State prevents you from buying cucumber seeds because it’s dangerous, but allows in person lottery ticket and alcohol sales, it’s NOT about your health.

When the State bans all salons and barbershops when they’re educated and maintained on sanitation, but the Governor can get his stage make up done, and hair done for 5 TV appearances a week, it’s NOT about your health.

When the state puts you IN a jail cell for walking in a park with your child because it’s too dangerous but lets criminals OUT of jail cells for their health- It’s NOT about YOUR health!

When the state tells you it’s too dangerous to get treated by a doctor Of chiropractic or physical therapy treatments yet deems a liquor store essential- It’s NOT about your health!

When the State lets you go to the grocery store or hardware store but is demanding mail-in voting, ITS NOT ABOUT YOUR HEALTH.

I will further add when the State says you can’t meet at Church but can meet in mass at Walmart, Target, Costco ..etc...It’s NOT about your health.

WAKE UP PEOPLE — If you think this is all about your health you’re mistaken!

This should give you an idea and a taste what it it would be like living in an outright socialistic dictator ship. Times of duress can bring out some of the best as well as some of the worst in people as well as show who you can trust and rely on and who you can not.

Place certain people in a position of power and before long it goes to their head and it does not take long until they come up with decisions which either reflect their ignorance or stupidity or are based on their insatiable desire to impose their will and control their fellow mans behavior.
The current coronavirus crisis or epidemic is rife with plenty of examples, a few of hem given in this article.

One of my favorites is Gretchen Whitmer, Governor of Michigan rules is, that during this virus epidemic or dilemma, whatever name suits you, power boating is out but any other type of boating is permissible. It either shows plain ignorance or her true socialistic convictions have come to light and to the surface.

“Now I have the power and by God I am going to show them”

History is full of such examples and if taken to the extremes we end up with places like North Korea and anything in between. This is another reason why the founders of this Great Nation came up with the Second Amendment, as most of them were great judges of human behavior.

As Thomas Jefferson so eloquently quoted

“The tree of liberty must be refreshed from time to time with the blood of patriots and tyrants”.
