A call by the United Nations for a global ceasefire to help restore world peace and understanding during the Chinese coronavirus pandemic was branded “a catastrophic failure” Tuesday by Oxfam International.
The international charitable organization published a report saying the U.N. has been totally ignored in its efforts to be a peacebroker.
It outlined that fighting continues unabated across war-torn countries, undermining global efforts to combat the viral epidemic which has infected more than 4.1 million people and caused more than 280,000 deaths worldwide.
The report follows nearly two months after U.N. Secretary-General Antonio Guterres’ initial appeal for an end to war, as Breitbart News reported.

The United States on Friday stunned other members of the UN Security Council by preventing a vote on a resolution for a ceasefire in various conflicts around the world to help troubled nations better fight the coronavirus pandemic, diplomats said.
Washington’s reversal came a day after it agreed to the text, negotiators said under cover of anonymity.
“The United States cannot support the current draft,” the country’s delegation declared, without further detail, to the 14 other Security Council members, after nearly two months of difficult negotiation over the text.

That was the mayor of Baltimore. No word yet on how successful his appeal was. I’m afraid to go into the city and check for myself as my bulletproof vest is at the cleaners.

I read the government request for killers to stop killing while we fight the virus. I chuckled. It’s unbelievable that any adult can so misunderstand the nature of who he is talking to. It’s astonishing that these people get into positions of authority. No wonder we have wasted colossal sums on ridiculous pie in the sky idiocy, such as “curing “ homelessness, as if “homelessness” was the problem. These people are idiots.
