President Trump was in no mood for gotcha questions during Monday's press conference in the Rose Garden. Trump was first asked by CBS White House correspondent Weijia Jiang why he views the ability to test people for the Wuhan coronavirus as a "global competition" as people in America are "still losing their lives" every day.
"You have said many times that the U.S. Is doing far better than any other country when it comes to testing. Why does that matter? Why is it global competition to you if every day Americans are still losing their lives and we are still seeing more cases every day?" Jiang asked.
"Well, theyre losing their lives everywhere in the world and maybe thats a question you should ask China. Dont ask me. Ask China that question, okay. When you asked them that question, you make it a very unusual answer," Trump replied.
Jiang, who is originally from China, then asked, "Sir, why are you saying that to me specifically?"
"I'm not saying it specifically to anybody. Im saying that to anyone who would ask a nasty question like that," Trump replied.
Jiang insisted she did not ask a nasty question.
"Why does it matter," she pressed.
Trump then did not want to answer questions from CNN White House correspondent Kaitlan Collins after calling on her, with Collins pushing back.
"I have two questions, but you pointed to me," Collins said. "But you called on me."
"I did and you didn't respond and now I'm calling on the young lady in the back," Trump said.
With Collins continuing to protest, Trump then decided to end the press conference and walk away from the podium.
I was listening while eating lunch and the abrupt closure seemed about right for the rudeness of those two reporters.
Pearls among swine. President Trump has successfully completed hundreds of press conferences and has received hundreds of rude questions. Today he simply asserted his authority, got his authority rejected, and then thought of something better to do, like have a coffee or pray to the Lord. President Trump has nothing to prove and the swine in the press fail to prove their relevance daily. Solution: no reporters at press conferences in the future.
Weijia Jiang is a partisan hack. Gawk her Twitterfeed sometime
This is NOT the work of a credible White House pool journalist

Exactly.
> Unprofessional reporters need to be removed and not let back in. <
Right. Trump should not have left that press conference early. Instead the unprofessional reporters should have been escorted out.
Their questions were ridiculous, asinine, pointless and snide.
Every one of them was framed as some pitiful trap crafted by some smug, stuck up, arrogant moron.
Those people are horrible and do not deserve anyone’s respect.

Written questions.
Please leave, cement-head.
Two weeks ago they were complaining there were not enough tests, now it is a competition. Yeah, he is competing against the flu.
President Trump should have limited questions to the US virus issue early on.
He is letting them know no mob tactics. Each questioner for herself.
