President Trump was in no mood for gotcha questions during Monday's press conference in the Rose Garden. Trump was first asked by CBS White House correspondent Weijia Jiang why he views the ability to test people for the Wuhan coronavirus as a "global competition" as people in America are "still losing their lives" every day.
"You have said many times that the U.S. Is doing far better than any other country when it comes to testing. Why does that matter? Why is it global competition to you if every day Americans are still losing their lives and we are still seeing more cases every day?" Jiang asked.
"Well, theyre losing their lives everywhere in the world and maybe thats a question you should ask China. Dont ask me. Ask China that question, okay. When you asked them that question, you make it a very unusual answer," Trump replied.
Jiang, who is originally from China, then asked, "Sir, why are you saying that to me specifically?"
"I'm not saying it specifically to anybody. Im saying that to anyone who would ask a nasty question like that," Trump replied.
Jiang insisted she did not ask a nasty question.
"Why does it matter," she pressed.
Trump then did not want to answer questions from CNN White House correspondent Kaitlan Collins after calling on her, with Collins pushing back.
"I have two questions, but you pointed to me," Collins said. "But you called on me."
"I did and you didn't respond and now I'm calling on the young lady in the back," Trump said.
With Collins continuing to protest, Trump then decided to end the press conference and walk away from the podium.
Actually, no.
It was when one reporter asked a question out if turn and then another reporter refused to wait her turn to ask a question.
Hmmm. Keep inviting folks over who constantly toss their food on the floor and sooner or later you’re done with that. Start pulling some credentials and watch them have a hissy fit.
If they get too emboldened the next session will include: “Mr. President I have here a question submitted by Gov. Gretchen Whitmer for me to ask you today.”
What a bunch news fools.
The media is out of control. Which is to say: the media is no longer in control.
They don’t like this particular new world order. They prefer the old New World Order.
Saw it. This is why Trump will win reelection. He doesn’t take crap. He has broken the GOP out of its “designated loser” status, and finally called out for all the world to see that “news” organizations like CBS are little more than the propaganda arm of the Democratic party.

These people are jackals and the country is getting a good view of just how nasty and unprofessional they are.
End press conferences completely and just make addresses by television and radio.
I couldn’t agree more.
Unprofessional reporters need to be removed and not let back in. This isn't a game.
“The media” is using brainwashed schoolgirls as their maoist shock-troops.
That’s precisely what I told my wife when we saw that.
She’s the one who made up the story of a White House official calling it Kung Fu virus “to my face”.
Somebody needs to remove that post. Too bad you said it in the first place. Calling out someone based on racial physical characteristics is the sign of a low intellect.
He didn’t close it down because of the “nasty” question, he closed it down because the two -itches wanted to argue with him. He answered the first question but the CBS -itch didn’t like it and the CNN -itch didn’t respond to Trump calling on her and then wanted to argue about it. Trump was right on and actually gave them both more time and attention than they deserved. I wish he had answered the first one’s question about it being a competition on testing with: it is not a competition but I have to continue to put out the truth about testing since you and the rest of the fake media are constantly lying to the American people.
while I would like to hear from our president, i can’t blame him for suspending these press conferences as long as the media wants to turn them into stupid circuses
they can and should ask useful, meaningful, probing even questions. not this kind of junque
When did anyone ask Hussein a nasty or tough question? The media sycophants were too busy serving up softballs to the phony.
