WASHINGTON (AP) The Supreme Court seemed concerned Wednesday about the sweep of Trump administration rules that would allow more employers who cite a religious or moral objection to opt out of providing no-cost birth control to women as required by the Affordable Care Act.
Chief Justice John Roberts, a key vote on a court split between conservatives and liberals, suggested that the Trump administration's reliance on a federal religious freedom law to expand the exemption was too broad. And Justice Ruth Bader Ginsburg, who joined the conversation from a Maryland hospital where she was being treated for an infection caused by a gallstone, gave the government's top Supreme Court lawyer, Solicitor General Noel Franciso, what sounded like a lecture. You have just tossed entirely to the wind what Congress thought was essential, that is that women be provided these .... services with no hassle, no cost to them, said Ginsburg, who is expected to be in the hospital for a day or two.
87 years old and still on the USSC? Crazy! But then look at Feinstein and some the the other ancients.
Her law clerks do all the work writing opinions, doing the legal research etc.
Sorry Freepers, RBG is just getting started. She’s getting some more of Keith Richards’ blood as we speak.
She’ll be back on the bench in no time.
True. She is bitterly clinging to her life now in order to continue killing as many innocents as fast and as cheaply as possible. Abortion (but not HER euthanasia!) IS her reason for life now.
Should Trump win, she will vote every decision from her casket until a democrat is elected.
Yup.
“... that women be provided these .... services with no hassle, no cost to them,
Slippery slope.
If the life support is never turned off, who can prove the Justice is not participating?
A competency point has to be set.
She has needed to do the decent honest things and retire for at least three or four years already. But anything decent from her is like waiting for Godot.
If she dies on October 25, two bad things will happen - 1) There will not be enough time to even go through the Senate paperwork, let alone confirming the replacement. 2) This will tremendously motivate Dems, who will turn out in massive numbers, leading to retaking of PA, MI, WI, and also states like AZ, NC, GA, leading to a big loss for Trump. Guaranteed.

“Praying for a short stay for this woman.”
If something happens to her before the election, PDJT and the Senate need to confirm a new SCJ ASAP. The wailing from the left will be deafening, but F-em. If the Dems manage to win, they will proceed immediately to pack the SC with maybe 10 new “justices”. There will be no better time than right then to have the inevitable showdown.
Yeah. Me too.
“The evil woman wants the age of consent lowered to 12!”
Is that really true? I don’t want to pick a fight or anything, I just want to know that if I repeat this I am not made a fool of. Thanks.
Is Gallstone surgery essential? I thought that was a quick laser procedure these days.
“my ideal scenario would be for her to check out the day after President Trump wins reelection in a landslide”
Yes, let them burn their neighborhoods to the ground. That will be an entertaining interlude to the meltdown videos on Youtube.
View any of these. Yes, she thinks age of consent should be 12.
She didn't seem to mind when the Supreme Court tossed entirely to the wind what Congress and most state legislatures thought was essential regarding pervert marriage, not to mention overturning 20,000 years of human history in a ruling that goes against nature.
True — they are murderers who never heard the commandment, “Thou shalt not kill.”

“Yes, she thinks age of consent should be 12.”
Well, that is indisputable. She sure must have had an “interesting” childhood. I had certain Jewish friends in college who claimed that part of their Bar Mitzvah was a visit to the local house of ill repute. Being a sheltered gentile myself, I was a bit envious. Maybe she just wants to head off any potential complications that might arise.
