The west would have turned commie. Without the glaring examples of failure of communism we would not have been able to resist the lure. Had Gen. MacArthur been allowed to do his job and took out China during the Korean War, there would be no NK and no Chicoms today.

Or maybe we'd still be fighting in China today. Japan had more than enough trouble when it tried to "take out China." Russia had the bomb at that time, and if we used it in Asia, they'd find a way to use it against us.
