A new NBC News/WSJ poll also shows how the past month has changed Americans attitudes about the coronavirus.
In March, 53 percent of voters said theyre worried that someone in their immediate family would catch the disease. Now its 73 percent.
Also in March, a combined 26 percent said the coronavirus has changed their day-to-day life in a very or fairly major way. Now its 77 percent.

Just curious.
Guess what ... every grade crossing I've worked on is still there, and we do our best to improve them but we dont shut them down and disrupt thousands of travelers every day just because some nitwit drives around the gates and gets obliterated by a train.
I am also saving lives and treating this disease everyday (although less and less of it as we are over the worst part of it). ,p> And I am trying to educate the ignorant...you.
Or perhaps, the stuff we did prevented the spread. Why is that so difficult to agree to?
I am absolutely stunned at the number of seemingly intelligent posters who are so “tied” to a model. You think because the circumstances changed, that lower numbers indicate a lie.
That has to be an example of the most close minded, pig headed type of thinking there is.
It doesn’t seem like a lot of you...but there ya go.
The big deal is that millions of businesses are gone, when and how will they come back?
Lockdowns kill too.
Welcome to the truth...Glad to have you aboard.
True. But your crossings do keep the vast majority of people off of the tracks while the danger is imminent.
Danny’s a jackass and a gasbag for the left, I’m guess.
Anybody that would post any NBC news poll here, knowing their track record, should be persona-non-grata on a fine forum like this.
It’s dispruptor-trollism. Yeah, you Danny.
This is the most tortured metaphor I have ever seen. It speaks for itself how you are grasping at the last possible straws.
You and DannyTN have lost any credibility you may have had here. I don't know why you keep posting/commenting on FR. It's really rather pathetic.
Nope. Not a myth in the slightest. Farmers do it with their herds and we are the same. Get a grip man
What skin do you have in the game? You seem to be particularly invested
I have lived and succesfully treated people through 4 pandemics. In each of them except this one, we did not chain our fellow citizens and say “oh our liberties are not impeded”.
You are blind, stupid and ignorant. I am quite sure Mom MD speaks well for herself, I join her in ridiculing you as you like to avoid the subject at hand. I have infinitely more brains than you Vermont LT. I have quoted your words, now you run from the,
And it is not calling you names if it is true. You are an ignoramus. Truth is an absolute defense to the charge of slander of libel...or lying as you have accused me of. Do you live in a community or commune? Glad you appear to support Bernie Sanders, the biggest of all commies.
“That is a lot of deaths. It’s about the same number of people a year who die in motor vehicle accidents, but motor vehicles are still legal. Its also about a 1/10th the number of smoking related deaths, but tobacco is still legal. “
Good point. I have thought about this in a somewhat different way, lots of time for thought now. Tornados happen every year in the US, they will kill, injure and cause economic damage. If we follow the Corona Virus model we should mandate new construction be tornado proofed to some extent (that is being doing now with hurricanes), we should set up public shelters for people to go to if they do not live in a tornado resistant home. I know everyone makes fun of weather forecasting but for severe weather it is better than the Corona forecasting. See a 50% or 75% chance of tornado everyone stay home, all business, schools, public meetings, parks, etc. close. Don’t get me started on asteroid impact and other things. Not advocating this just following the Corona logic.
Sweden Says Controversial Covid-19 Strategy Is Proving Effective; Schools, gyms, cafes, bars and restaurants still open throughout the pandemic
I am absolutely stunned at the number of seemingly intelligent posters who are so tied to a model.
What part are you trying to educate me?
I worked in a hospital. My wife still does. I overhead the leadership call every morning. I know more than the average bear about this disease.
The ONLY things I have ever said is, wear a mask when you are around people, and buy an extra can of food when you go to the store. That is it.
If you want to go to a football game, go.
If you think there are rules that shouldn’t be followed then dont follow them.
Alinsky this stuff: Overwhelm the system. But there is a cost to that. A felony conviction would mean the loss of that license, wouldn’t it. So you are making a trade off.
You guys are so eager to assume I think we should all be locked down, no one has asked me.
So here goes:
Guess what? I know what I have to do to keep my wife (on chemo) safe. I really, really don’t care what the rest of humanity does.
You all assume I support any of this stuff. I not only don’t support it. I don’t care. I don’t care about anyone but my wife and kids—that the kids are first responders so, they are kind of in the middle of it too.
I dont care about you. I dont care about hardly anyone else here (in terms of the lockdown).
I do care about misinformation and bullshit that is spewed here on a daily basis.
Be you didn’t see that one coming.
Well, buh-bye.
Well, there we have it
That’s the way I’ve been thinking on my own anyway, good to know I have such fine company here.
