Looks like an answer and an investment opportunity. Instead of touch cleaning, perhaps Goggles and a Bright UV Light passed over surfaces would be a faster, better way of anti-viral operations on a continuous basis. This alos is about including these UVC spectrum lights in the background lighting of facilities. If it was inexpensive enough, stores and arenas and subways could be lit with these bulbs and let us get to moving around again.

Just use the old school air purifiers (ozone generators).

It’s an obvious cheap solution.
I once installed a UV light in my house duct work, because it kills spores which would help my allergies.
UVC is safer than UV, though.

Copper/bronze alloy building hardware, UV lights in HVAC supply ducts, will have an impact. Copper alloy threads are also available in carpets, inpatient bed curtains, etc.

This has been known for decades. Powerful UV lights are used to scrub the air in many isolation units.

Don’t these people know that it is already used in hospitals and biopharma labs? I guess not.

Does this mean we get to find our psychedelic posters and show the grand kiddies what we did for entertainment in the 60’s?

UV light are very effective. They’ve been used for decades in labs. We had the installed in our level 3 labs.
The bulbs are easy to get and it’s easy to build a light. I’ve used them on a timer for years to zap packages in the garage.

UV-C light is hazardous to vision. This article distinguishes between what it calls "multi-spectrum" UV-C light, which it confirms is hazardous to vision, and what it calls "far UV-C light", which isn't. Apparently the latter's light is limited to a portion of the UV-C spectrum.
The article also confirms that both kinds of UV-C light are effective in destroying viruses.
I bought a UV-C light "pouch" for sterilizing the N95 masks of my wife and I. It has a UV-C light tube in a bag which is large enough to hold the light tube and an N95 mask. The bag has a zipper and the idea is to only turn the light tube on when the mask is zipped inside. I can't confirm that it works but the Amazon description and reviews say it will kill any live CV19 viruses on the mask inside.

The future will be a gas mask with a UV light filtration system mandatory for everybody stepping into public.
New York City ought to put a UV air cleaner on every subway car.

I bought a monster O3 generator in early January at a discount price. 11 grams per hour. These really clear out a room. Set it for 2 hours, shut the door and leave.
