Reports in Japanese media citing an undisclosed health ministry projection said fatalities could reach the 400,000-mark without mitigation measures. It also estimated that as many as 850,000 people could need ventilators.

MSM just waking up in Japan.
You’ve never been to a Japanese hospital. They are filthy. I was shocked. The public restrooms are filthy also.
Here you go Travis, another country you can ravage with your charts and graphs.
“Seems to be turning out to be a blood disease, not a respiratory one
Need to re oxygenate the blood
Ventilators are damaging lungs acting futilely to do so”
It’s more like an auto-immune disease in the most severe cases. That’s why hydroxychloroquine, which is used off-label to treat people with lupus and diabetes, seems to have some positive effect on those genetically pre-disposed to an over-active immune system.
Yep. If all of America lived the way people do in NYC, we’d have reason to be scared. And Tokyo? OMG! Sardines live in mansions in comparison!
Japan currently has 8,100 confirmed cases with 146 deaths>>>>>>>>>>>>>>
japanese people are extremely fastidious and constant in terms of hygiene and cleanliness in the first place. And now the scientific modelers are attempting to rule the country.
Japan is somewhat distrustful of totalitarian initiatives from government, ever since WWII.
I have every confidence that Japan will not be compromised.
Japan is in trouble now. They ignored the virus spread while the Olympics were still in play. New cases actually declined from early March to near the end of March. They even let the people from the Princess cruise ship disembark and move into the country without quarantining them, apparently.
Once the Olympics was cancelled, their cases started up that familiar exponential curve, but they were probably catching up to cases that were already there.
For the past few days, new cases have dropped. I really doubt that will persist given the population density and average age in Japan. But hundreds of thousands of deaths does sound like a stretch. Still, given the way they’ve approached it so far together with their density and age, if it’s going to happen anywhere, it will be there.
With 126 million people, 300,000 deaths would be 0.23 percent of the population.
Notice in the past few days the percentage of people getting has gone down.
More over reaction?
4/11/2020 it was +12%
4/12/2020 it was +7.5%
4/13/2020 it was ++5.4%
4/14/2020 it was +6.0%

ROR!
Would you believe...
I was the “last man” getting into one of these trains. When the train employee pushed me in the back my first instinct was to turn around and slug the guy.
Then I remembered where I was.
They do were a lot of masks by default though.
Low, actually.
The Japanese are scrupulous about wearing masks when they have the symptoms of a cold.
But given how crowded Tokyo is, I suppose it’s essential for the population.

You actually believe that you could build a castle out of a bunch of junk. What a crock. Here we are, guys. Right where we belong. You got your Edsels,... Norges,... Dumonts... and Ventilators. Together at last, creating our own incredible monument to nothing! [shouts and claps his hands] Here’s to nothing, fellas! Here’s to nothing!
Paraphrasing Eddie Wilson, Eddie and the Cruisers
Creating the biggest stockpile of ventilators in the world that nobody will need because the press was obsessed with ventilators. A Season In Hell.
Japan was getting into good shape till they lifted their lockdown position. They re-issued a National Emergency.
Watch it go crazy again here too.
My son was just in S Korea. They have reopened
Taiwan is the country in best shape. They knew not to take China at their word way back in November/December.
I never realized Godzilla had a double row of teeth. Kinda strange for a carnivore....
