New York Democratic Representative Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez said on Tuesday night that she believes the Democratic Party has an obligation to examine a sexual assault allegation made against presumptive Democratic Presidential nominee Joe Biden by Tara Reade, his former aide when he served as Delaware's senator.
In response to a question about the allegations during an online conversation with The Winga group dedicated to the "professional, civic, social, and economic advancement of women through community"Ocasio-Cortez said, "I think it's legitimate to talk about these things."
"If we again want to have integrity, you can't say, you know, both believe women, support all of this, until it inconveniences you," she added.
While Biden has denied Reade's accusation, Ocasio-Cortez said that not discussing #MeToo issues in order to improve Biden's chances of beating President Donald Trump during the November election is the "exact opposite of integrity."

Okay. What the hell is gaslighting?
I’ve been accused of being passive aggressive and gaslighting. What are those things?
Drudge has the siren up! Just kidding. It is all Trump bashing.
When someone tries to make you feel like you’re going insane, and that what you know is true is really just all in your head.
Gaslighting is a form of psychological manipulation in which a person or a group covertly sows seeds of doubt in a targeted individual, making them question their own memory, perception, or judgment, often evoking in them cognitive dissonance and other changes such as low self-esteem. Using denial, misdirection, contradiction, and misinformation, gaslighting involves attempts to destabilize the victim and delegitimize the victim's beliefs. Instances can range from the denial by an abuser that previous abusive incidents occurred to the staging of bizarre events by the abuser with the intention of disorienting the victim.
The term originated from the play Gas Light (1938, but originally performed as Angel Street in the United States) and its 1940 and 1944 film adaptations (both titled Gaslight). The term has been used in clinical psychological literature, as well as in political commentary and philosophy.
What the Heck?!??
Biden has been a serial groper for years.
There is photographic evidence for some of it.
Drudge has gone to the dark side.
Holy carp! That’s EXACTLY what happened to me? Why would a person do such a thing? I recently came out of a two year spirit of depression because of someone who did that to me. I’m talking a deep, deep depression. I still have relapses. Just when I think I’m coming out of it, I go into a deep deep dark place. Who would do that?
Well, this is a first. AOC and I actually agree on something.
Someone who always has to be right. Think narcissistic personality. Hillary and Bill Clinton.
Ever seen one of those movies or made-for-tv flicks in which husband/boyfriend is the bad guy (bigamist, adulterer, serial killer, thief, drug addict, traitor, etc) yet he somehow manages to convince his poor suffering wife/girlfriend that her suspicions about him are merely delusions and she’s just picking on him? That’s Gaslighting from the movie Gas Light, an early example of the trope.
Just Joe being Joe?
Son...of...a...b*tch. You just made my skin crawl.
I believe the women.
