TRUMP: Sorry Fake News, its all on tape. I banned China long before people spoke up. Thank you @OANN
Original Tweet:
Fauci is now saying that had Trump listened to the medical experts earlier he could've saved more lives.
Fauci was telling people on February 29th that there was nothing to worry about and it posed no threat to the US public at large.
Time to #FireFauci...

I believe it was inevitable, impossible to keep out of the U.S. and probably impossible to contain. Was it possible to lead earlier and make the results less bad?
To: nwrep
Yes it is.
I saw the creep on TV this morning saying those exact words and trying to blame it on Trump.
Fire that sumb*tch.

Fauci went out on
January 21 and said the virus posed no threat to Americans “at this time.”

And he’ll become a CNN contributing douche bag, too, freed from the muzzle of civil service to tell whatever lie he wants. Better, on second thought, to kick him upstairs to where he’ll make a few thou extra, get to security clearance, and work on super duper duper double-dog-dare-ya top secret stuff that he dasn’t breath a word about.

I think they would have had to quarantine everyone coming in from overseas. Which I’m pretty sure I suggested.
I know I called for stopping flights from Italy and S.Korea which would definitely have helped.

Did he mean that it posed no threat because it wasn’t circulating in our communities yet? Or did he mean that it was never going to be a threat to Americans?
I’m pretty sure he meant the former, not the latter.

I read accounts of the cnn interview, and I didn’t see where Fauci said anything unusual or anti Trump. He was asked if things closed down earlier it would have saved lives, and he said that’s obvious. Well......it is obvious. I didn’t see where he said he told Trump to close down earlier, or where Fauci said Trump ignores his experts.
Trump should not fire this guy, as it would be a PR disaster. That is exactly what the press wants. Besides, at the last press conference, Trump said how much faith he has in him. Hard to contradict that now.

I think Trump is just trying to keep Fauci in check. I don’t think the optics of firing him now would be politically wise overall.
But he could bring in some other people with other views. I for one wish we had a better media who could ask simple questions like
“why should we accept social distancing on faith when it is not proven, it is just anecdotal”
and
“you talk about seasonality of the disease, doesn’t social distancing basically guarantee that as restrictions are loosened that millions more who have avoided the virus so far will be at risk of infection”
You know... make them justify everything using the same standards and not make things up as they go along, accept some things as “obvious” and reject other things because “they’re unproven in double blind random placebo controlled studies”.
It’s time to put all of the alphabet swamp into check.

Only if ALL the early arrivals were caught and tightly quarantined AND all of their contacts in the US traced and strictly quarantined AND all of their contacts, etc.
The first guy from China who brought the disease into Snohomish County was well when he got off the plane, but fell ill five day later. The asymptomatic contagion makes contact tracing almost impossible.
It might have delayed the onset of rapid growth, the the exponential growth phase would have occurred no matter what.
Apple and Google are developing a solution using cell phones to do anonymous contact tracing. You would get a alert that you have been exposed to a COVID patient. But it is going to really raise the hackles on people who value privacy.

This guy is sketchy. Sometimes within a 24 hour period Fauci will make a statement, then contradict the initial assertion, then attempt to cloud his own conflict with obtuse and wordy explanations. After watching for several weeks, we first called it out HERE.
In the latest example Dr. Anthony Fauci, the head of the National Institute of Allergy and Infectious Diseases, appears on CNN to support the political assertions of narrative engineer Jake ‘furrowed-brow’ Tapper. To wit Fauci now says if the country had been shut down in February lives could have been saved:
TAPPER: “The New York Times reported yesterday that you and other top officials wanted to recommend social and physical distancing guidelines to President Trump as far back as the third week of February, but the administration didn’t announce such guidelines to the American public until March 16th, almost a month later?”
FAUCI: “As I’ve said many times, we look at it from a pure health standpoint. We make a recommendation. Often the recommendation is taken. Sometimes it’s not. But it is what it is. we are where we are right now.”
There’s been a debate about possible political motives surrounding the panic he has created; the massive economic damage he has inflicted; and the conflicting assertions of National Institute of Allergy and Infections Diseases (NIAID) Director Dr. Anthony Fauci.
CTH identifies the motives as sketchy. He appears to use his position to advance theories and yet position himself to avoid scrutiny.
