What Fauci is saying isn’t false.
Fauci is saying he recommended lock downs much earlier, but that Trump got a lot of push back on the idea from other advisors.
Look at how much push back Trump is getting on lock downs now. Imagine if he had locked down 3 weeks earlier when there were much fewer cases.
Unfortunately, we probably would have been no closer to having masks available for everyone or testing as widely available as needed. So it would have been 3 more weeks of economic pain.
Yes doing so probably would have flattened new case growth at a much lower level. And would have indeed saved lives.
But all the Flubros would be hollering, Trump shut down the economy over 500 deaths.
California was the first state wide lockdown on March 19th. At the time there were 13,865 cases in the US and 206 deaths.
Now imagine that lock downs occurred 3 weeks earlier on February 27th. When there was only 54 cases and 0 deaths. The outcry would have been horrendous.

What I recall is that CNN was told if they would not evelise the entire Presidential Briefings then no one on the Task-force could appear on CNN. Did CNN then broadcast the Briefings?? I don’t know.

Perhaps if vigorous contract tracing and quarantine of contacts had started a few weeks earlier, the virus would have been contained and not spread like wildfire.
I believe it was inevitable, impossible to keep out of the U.S. and probably impossible to contain.
Why was Fauci even on CNN? I thought Pence said that no one on the task force could be on CNN until CNN started showing whole task force briefings. Did something change?
I suspect Fauci actually wants to get fired, so he can worm his way out of taking responsibility for this mess and still keep his liberal friends.
At least Trump will only have 8 years in the govt.
