I think Trump is just trying to keep Fauci in check. I don’t think the optics of firing him now would be politically wise overall.

But he could bring in some other people with other views. I for one wish we had a better media who could ask simple questions like

“why should we accept social distancing on faith when it is not proven, it is just anecdotal”

and

“you talk about seasonality of the disease, doesn’t social distancing basically guarantee that as restrictions are loosened that millions more who have avoided the virus so far will be at risk of infection”

You know... make them justify everything using the same standards and not make things up as they go along, accept some things as “obvious” and reject other things because “they’re unproven in double blind random placebo controlled studies”.

It’s time to put all of the alphabet swamp into check.

I agree. Keep your friends close, and keep your enemies closer. The Rats and the media are triple-dog daring Trump to fire Fauci so they can pounce on him for doing so. The better approach is keep the guy and force him to stand up there tomorrow and walk back this crap. All he needs to say is that he was misunderstood and Trump has done everything he could have done and should have done and then some.

He does not have to fire him. He’s setting up a new commission to handle the phase out of this virus lock down. Brix and Fauci would be not necessarily be needed for this new commission.
