TRUMP: Sorry Fake News, it’s all on tape. I banned China long before people spoke up. Thank you @OANN

Original Tweet:

Fauci is now saying that had Trump listened to the medical experts earlier he could've saved more lives.

Fauci was telling people on February 29th that there was nothing to worry about and it posed no threat to the US public at large.

Time to #FireFauci...

Is this in the cnn interview? He said he urged an earlier shutdown, and Trump said no? I’ll have to go back and read that.

Thanks

He should have bitten his tongue when he said DjT is piddling all the interns—male or female, especially the minority interns....and he’s a jerk of the highest order.
Pence knows but DjT has his balls in a literal vice and wants the 2024 nod, so he won’t say anything. Oh, and DjT tweets in church !

....that was over the line....could get him in trouble. ;)

/s included in case Fake News wants to run with this juicy tidbit

I fully agree with you. This Monday morning quarterbacking is nuts at times.

(here’s the gist; fauci claims he made the recommendation to trump to social distance earlier and trump didn’t take it)
Host Jake Tapper asked, “The New York Times reported yesterday that you and other top officials wanted to recommend social and physical distancing guidelines to President Trump as far back as the third week of February, but the administration didn’t announce such guidelines to the American public until March 16th, almost a month later. Why?”

Fauci said, “As I’ve said many times, we look at it from a pure health standpoint. We make a recommendation. Often the recommendation is taken. Sometimes it’s not. But it is what it is. we are where we are right now.”

Tapper said, “Do you think lives could have been saved if social distancing, physical distancing, stay-at-home measures, had started the third week of February instead of mid-March?”

Fauci said, “You know, Jake, again, it’s the what would have, what could have. It’s very difficult to go back and say that. I mean, obviously, you could logically say that if you had a process that was ongoing and you started mitigation earlier, you could have saved lives. Obviously, no one is going to deny that. But what goes into those kinds of decisions is complicated. But you’re right, I mean, obviously, if we had right from the very beginning shut everything down, it may have been a little bit different. But there was a lot of pushback about shutting things down back then.”

I think Trump is just trying to keep Fauci in check. I don’t think the optics of firing him now would be politically wise overall.

Monday: Thanks Dr. Fauci, now we move to the recovery phase.

Tuesday: Introduce recovery team.

Pence told CNN that if they didn’t cover the Task Force meetings no members of the task force would appear on any CNN broadcast.

CNN covered Friday’s meeting/presser.

Now, let’s see if they cover Monday’s presser, now that they’ve gotten the Little Rat Man to trash the Boss.

There’s a lot of second guessing that could be asked about.

“Dr. Fauci, if you hadn’t accepted at face value what China was saying about the disease early, would it have saved lives?”

“Dr. Fauci, if you realized that there was significant asymptomatic spread of the disease earlier, would it have saved lives? Shouldn’t we have been more cautious?”

Everyone was muddling their way through this, Fauci and Trump included.

Fauci did not say that. And Trump acted before most anyone else. And we did handle the first cases beautifully. It was only after we were hit by the huge influx of Chinese students that we got the case everywhere. These students came before January 15th and went to almost all our major colleges.

Here he is saying they made the recommendation and it’s wasn’t taken:

“Often the recommendation is taken. Sometimes it’s not.”

And here he is saying there was PUSHBACK on shutting shit down earlier:

“But you’re right, I mean, obviously, if we had right from the very beginning shut everything down, it may have been a little bit different. But there was a lot of pushback about shutting things down back then.”

If you can’t see that he’s trying to sabotage Trump then I can’t help you.
