Fauci was telling people on February 29th that there was nothing to worry about and it posed no threat to the US public at large.

CNN may have restarted televising the briefings. obviously, on a site like FR no one would know as nobody would want to give CNN any viewership credits.

I saw the interview this morning flipping channels, what he said wasn’t THAT bad. The gist being “hindsight is 20/20” and “it is what it is” and was pretty defensive and avoided being critical. Any minor hint of everything not being 100% perfect gets so blown out of proportion

To reopen the economy we need to do the following:

• Everyone needs to wear a mask until the virus is completely out of our communities. That means masks have to be available. Production needs to be ramped.
• New cases need to fall until they are manageable, meaning each new case can be timely contact traced and the exposed people tested and quarantined.
• Resources have to be in place to do the contact tracing.
• Testing has to be available to test everyone who thinks they might have been exposed.

Fauci should be sophisticated enough to know how his words will be interpreted by the MSM. I imagine he did know.

He said “Obviously you could logically say that if you had a process that was ongoing and you started mitigation earlier you could’ve saved lives, obviously.” That is not “obvious”, even you look at things with tunnel vision from a narrow medical perspective.

And the President shouldn’t and doesn’t look at things from that puerile, narrow perspective, and Fauci must have known better. I don’t think he’s that stupid.
