Can't post from USA today, the link is at the top of the google search above.
Check out the two paragraphs at the end of the article starting with: "Fauci doesn't want people to worry about coronavirus".
(Excerpt) Read more at google.com ...
The guy is such a weasel. Pass this article around far and wide.
bttt
Sounds like the statement of a guy who used to be a good doc and scientist, but who is now another bureaucrat.
shutting down the country in February would have made no sense..you don’t shut down an entire country bevause a few people have the virus would have been idiotic than what a week later open it back up just to close again in March
What is the story? Did the guy just forget what he was telling people in February?
Is Fauci the Joe Biden of the CDC?
I think shutting down the country was a stupid move. I dont see us getting out of this. The cure was a million times worse than the disease.
“Top disease official: Risk of coronavirus in USA is ‘minuscule’; skip mask and wash hands (Fauci in February)”
Trump better get this out there NOW. Before the crap storm hits from what the little pr*ck said on CNN today hits.
Not even that will help Bronx barmaid
Jan 21st, Jan 29th, Feb 3rd, Feb 17th....Fauci said don’t worry about it....chances miniscule.
Sounds like a guy who was fed shit information.
The information changes, and the response changes.
People realize this is how the world works, right?
Its like people wondering why Sunday numbers drop EVERY week—all over Europe and the US.
Its like they don’t realize that the people reporting don’t work Sundays.
Get a grip folks. This is not a conspiracy. Its just the in accurate and imprecise way the world acts. It would be difficult for any of us to live up to the expectations of the media or your fellow Freepers.
This was ALWAYS a convenient crisis. The left hit the jackpot.
As Jeff Sessions was to justice so Fauci is to medicine.
Nice find. Bookmarked, and verified its archived at Archive.today. Which is a worthwhile site to use to supplement saving locally.
Here’s the good part of the article:
Feb. 17th, updated the 19th
Fauci doesn’t want people to worry about coronavirus, the danger of which is “just minuscule.” But he does want them to take precautions against the “influenza outbreak, which is having its second wave.”
“We have more kids dying of flu this year at this time than in the last decade or more,” he said. “At the same time people are worrying about going to a Chinese restaurant. The threat is (we have) a pretty bad influenza season, particularly dangerous for our children.”
Fauci offered advice for people who want to protect against the “real and present danger” of seasonal flu, which also would protect against the hypothetical danger of coronavirus.
“Wash your hands as frequently as you can. Stay away from crowded places where people are coughing and sneezing. If in fact you are coughing and sneezing, cover your mouth,” he says.
“You know, all the things that we say each year.”
Back then it *was* miniscule and there weren’t even enough masks for the HCS people. What would have been effective, yet politically infeasible, was closing the borders and even that would have started riots in some quarters.
There was so much that we didn’t know about how different CCP-19 is from many other viruses. Probably still is.
You are aware that conditions change, right? That when there were very few cases in the US, that the danger to folks in the US is actually different than it is when there are many cases?
You’re Alinsky-ing yourself.
You’re missing the point.
Fauli TODAY said that Trump didn’t follow the advice of experts early enough - he should have done so in February - when in February Fauci himself was saying there was nothing to worry about.
Fauci is a hypocrite.
