A Santa Clara County health official said Monday that her department will likely be dealing with the new coronavirus “for a very, very long time,” and at some point, everyone will probably be infected.
Dr. Sarah Cody, the director of the county’s health department, said that the state’s shelter-in-place order will “slow things down” and enable health officials to spread out those who are severely ill who require hospitalizations, SFGate.com reported.
“I just have to keep reminding myself that this is a marathon and we have to keep ourselves nourished somehow, and we have to keep our energy good.”
Cody’s comments come as the U.S. is bracing for a tough two weeks during the coronavirus pandemic. Although President Trump and Vice President Mike Pence have both expressed optimism, the U.S. death toll continues to increase, surpassing 10,000 earlier Monday.

I was never tested, but I’m pretty sure I had it just before Christmas and was sick for over a month.
Doctor gave me Z-pac but it was like it didn’t do anything. I couldn’t breathe and thought I would likely die.
Fever and chills, headache, and pneumonia. It just wouldn’t get better. I’ve never had anything like that.
At that time it seemed everyone in that small town was sick, both Doctors and the Hosp were turning people away and telling the to go to a different city for treatment.
That was just before the Kung Flu was making news.
Newsom predicted there would be 25.5 million infections. At a 1% death rate, that is 250,000 deaths in CA. Currently, about 16,000 infections and 380 deaths.
Doctors with no time for new patients and crowded hospitals are a sign that there’s no slack in the medical system. The planners have been pushing for this type of full-capacity, “excess-bed” reducing, assembly line medicine as a way of cutting costs. But what happens when the doctor with no time to talk to you gets swamped with new patients?
I guess the term “flatten the curve” didn’t mean anything to them?!?

That’s a totally separate issue, and one that I have no opinion on. I just don’t know what the best option is there. But I do trust Trump.
My point, instead, is that too many folks are treating this virus as something that just fell from the sky. It didn’t just fall from the sky. It came from Communist China. We all must remember that. And the ChiComs must be held accountable.

They talk about people already having anti-bodies from other coronavirus bouts..I guess they are including the 1968 Hong Kong flu which I think was also a coronavirus...
If so, I already have those anti-bodies unless there is a time limit..
Well, Dr. Sarah Cody and her leftist tourist trap and global import friends can go first then. Smarter people will have the continence to avoid the virus, until it mutates into something weaker.
