Biden says his campaign is setting up call with Trump

Former Vice President Joe Biden said on Thursday that his aides are working to set up a call between him and President Trump to discuss the U.S. response to the coronavirus pandemic.

Biden offered earlier this week to speak with Trump about the government’s strategy to combat the coronavirus outbreak. The president told reporters on Wednesday that he would “absolutely take his call.”

“I’m happy to hear he’ll take my call,” Biden said in a virtual briefing with reporters on Thursday. “My team is working with him to set such a call up.”

Biden and Trump’s willingness to speak on the phone with one another comes even as they have continued to spar in recent weeks.

Biden has repeatedly criticized Trump’s response to the coronavirus outbreak, blaming the president for being slow to take decisive action to slow the spread of the virus. He has sought to present himself as a more stable alternative to Trump through digital briefings, television interviews and other media appearances.

No serious person can possibly think he has anything of value to add.

I think the President can fluster Biden really, really bad.

So who will program Biden?? Obama, Hillary????

What I don't see is all the big Dems actually supporting Biden...I mean really supporting him....and his ideas...cuz he ain't got none.

Remember....Biden didn’t have anything to offer during Obama’s administration. He’s a frigg’n puppet and doesn’t even know it.

Trump should call him if he doesn’t call, and then say he had a bunch of really stupid ideas

-OR-

Say they are already doing everything Biden suggested and he must be getting awful senile

Trump needs Biden’s advice like a dog needs another flea.
But, if Biden wishes to actually HELP in some useful manner (what could he possibly do? I don’t know) but actually HELP instead of just make ridiculous remarks from the side-lines, fine...it would help heal the awful damage the DNC democrats like Pelousy and Schitt and Schumer have been inflicting on the country to have their presidential-candidate-in-waiting to do something, almost anything, positive. Maybe he could help clean up rooms in the hospital, or?

You underestimate Biden.

Not at all. I've said many times Biden is a legitimate threat. Trump certainly believes so which is why he was investigating Biden and Sons' connections in the Ukraine.

Biden is a threat not because he's a strong candidate or the best candidate but only because Democrats vote as a solid bloc for the candidate they are given.

If they are given Biden they will vote for Biden. Their motto is "Vote Blue No Matter Who".

Oh, Joe has good intentions, but he - hesitates.

To APPEAR to agree with President Trump on any specific, he only further alienates his own voter base, which may be shrinking daily anyway, and by raising objections, he only reveals his ignorance of the serious nature of the multiple problems this disruptive factor of COVID-19 Wuhan virus has raised.

There is a huge multi-pronged effort now underway to deal with each of these problems (virtual shutdown of the economy, apparent inability to get ahead of the spread of the virus, the crushing burden put on our medical facilities, and the effort to turn back assaults from foreign sources trying to take advantage of our sometimes confused and disparate approaches to the host of problems), and one is rightfully concerned whether Joe, or anybody on a team he would have to assemble, could step into the role of addressing them all.

Joe is fast learning what it means to be between a rock and a hard place. If he is still learning anything at all.

Hopefully Trump will be able to provoke Biden into calling him a lying dog-faced pony soldier.

How long does it take for his people to do this? It’s been like 48 hours to set up a simple phone call? And they expect us to believe he could be running all of this stuff? Give me a break...

One of the hallmarks of being a Christian is dealing with enemies, “bless them that curse you.” Our president will no doubt be gracious here.

That phone conversation should be frakin’ hilarious given Biden lacks the mental gaff capacity to speak a coherent sentence.
