The U.S. Food and Drug Administration (FDA) has approved the use of two anti-malaria drugs to treat patients infected by the new coronavirus.
On Sunday, the U.S. Department of Health and Human Services (HHS) said in a statement that chloroquine and hydroxychloroquine could be prescribed to teens and adults with COVID-19 "as appropriate, when a clinical trial is not available or feasible," after the FDA issued an Emergency Use Authorization. (EUA) That marked the first EUA for a drug related to COVID-19 in the U.S., according to the statement.
Currently, there are no specific drugs for COVID-19 which, as shown in the Statista graph below (accurate as of March 26), has sickened over half a million people. According to Johns Hopkins University, over 720,000 cases have been confirmed, more than 34,000 people have died, and over 152,000 have recovered since the pandemic started in China late last year.

It would be somewhat amusing if, as a result of HCL/z-pack/zinc regimen, the situation were to be more or less under control by April 12, and the country were well enough healed that folks could attend Easter services and go back to work by then...
Yes not much into conspiracy theories but I am sure their PR firm was sending out talking points to Democrats to talk down cheap and effective anti-malarial treatment. They want 10s of millions of deaths while they test out their anti-virals which will have side effects like rectal bleeding, blindness, ED and cancer. But that is better /s Big Pharma loves Democrats, especially.
there are absolute contraindications to using quinines. Ones you cant know by looking at the patient.
true enough ... the biggie is heart disease, ESPECIALLY when the cardiac electrical system is damaged and/or abnormal, because Plaquinil widens the QTc interval, which can be fatal in such cases ... Azithromax has exactly the same issue, so the two together are a double-whammy from that perspective ...
so, while for most people those arent issues, a select group of cardiac patients should NOT be taking these drugs casually ... thats why GOOD doctors must have a good understanding of the drugs they prescribe and their dangers and limitations, ESPECIALLY in the cases of polypharmacy and/or pre-existing chronic conditions ...
YES!!!! You got it ...this can’t get handed out like candy.
That was nice of them..................
Mighty white of them...
Read up on G6PD Def. If this frug is just handed out like candy you are going to kill more people than the disease.
Aren’t people told to follow their Health Care providers advice?
Never heard anyone say you should ingest anything the POTUS says?
Common sense is NOT so common these days!
“this cant get handed out like candy.”
LOL! I thought about putting that exact phrase in my post!
I think Novartis was all on board for this.
If their thinking was that some profit was better than none, it was smart.
I forget if it was novartis.
Who the hell can keep track lately :)
“If this is the cure we might pray for a better one.”
this drug is still relatively safe for the great majority of people, though ...
Read up on G6PD Def and Hemolytic Anemia.
Somewhat amusing?
That would be GREAT!!!
Somewhat amusing is a woman seeing me in my birthday suit :)
Or maybe that falls under sad. One or the other :)
The Easter thing would be GREAT news.

well, i AM aware of the Vitamin C connection because my doctor explained that part of it to me before proceeding with Vitamin C IV therapy ...
So you have it or you dont have it?
There is nothing that will get a bureaucrat off their ass and doing their job faster than the thought of losing their practically no-work job. Fauci looked like a foot dragging bureaucrat who wanted to take months to approve a treatment for coronavirus when the drugs everyone was telling them worked and were approved decades ago with people dying in the meantime. I’m sure he felt the heat of Trump warming up to sign a “your services will no longer be needed after this emergency has passed” letter.
Wh7y are you telling me this twice now?
EXCELLENT NEWS: Hydroxychloroquine Treatment Effective on 699 Patients
