NEW ORLEANS — The Louisiana death toll from the coronavirus pandemic rose Sunday but the rate of infection appeared to have slowed dramatically, according to figures released by the Louisiana Department of Health.
The state had a total of 3,540 confirmed cases as of noon CDT Sunday, compared to 3,315 on March 28.
That increase of 225 cases, or less than 7%, marks a dramatic flattening of the curve Louisiana had experienced last week, when the percentage rise was as high as 28% on some days.

Yes, I was alarmed myself at what I was reading on that thread. I know we may never be the same as a country but I just hope and pray we can get back to some semblance of normal soon.

Death totals seem low today, pending the later updates from NY.
However, if that happens we’ll hear the word “impeachment” daily, especially after the 2022 midterms.
Looks promising. Unless, of course, it starts to explode in the south of Italy, where testing has lagged behind.
Some of that should be offset by Trump-led repatriation of offshore manufacturing (especially medicine ingredients and medical supplies).
It has been so much hype it has been heartbreaking for small businesses that will NEVER recover from this!! Wall to wall screaming the world was coming to an end, what saddens me more than anything is the media was able to do this DESTROY an economy where so many Americans were thriving for the first time in decades!! The MSM was able to bring this entire country to its knees and everybody just jumped on the train of doom and gloom when I saw so many from this site falling for this BS I realized just how far our country has fallen such a shame!!! Agree with your analysis. The media, with their terminal TDS, latched on to what they thought would bring about the destruction of Pres. Trump. Having succeeded in burning down the economic house of the entire world, the MSM must now be apoplectic with rage to see Pres. Trump’s poll numbers go *up*. Thus the complete crazy calls by the MSM to not carry the Pres. daily news conference.
I know it’s going to be tough to rebuild businesses which have been devastated by mandated closures, but we have a President who is the master of resurrecting business from the ashes.

Too bad China who can assist the world in a data model as to potential reinfection has no intention of doing so. They lied about the initial numbers of cases and deaths and now allegedly since they are lifting the quarantine they will not be truthful as to the rate of reinfection when a quarantine is lifted.They do not care about saving lives.The world needs to penalize them economically after this is over as they are the worst government n the world.
