The National Association of Scholars (NAS) has produced a report titled "Social Justice Education in America." Written by David Randall, it defines, describes, and delineates many of the destructive and deceptive ideas behind the innocent-sounding social justice programs that have mushroomed in American institutions of higher learning.
According to this December 2019 report, "in the last twenty years, a generation of academics and administrators has transformed higher education into an engine of progressive political advocacy." Identity politics plays a major role in how social justice will be administered. Social justice activists work to increase the "state's coercive power" to decide who will get their fair share concerning employment, housing, income, health care, leisure, political power, property, social recognition, and wealth.
Consequently, social justice buzz words such as food justice, educational poverty, and health equity aim to increase state power "to tax the citizenry to fund progressive spending priorities." If social justice warriors deem it, then any alleged privilege must be eliminated so that "identity groups defined by categories such as class, race, and gender" will not be oppressed.
To achieve their aims, universities are watering down requirements in order to attract more women and minorities. This portends "disastrous [repercussions] for scientific innovation and American competitiveness" not to mention the care of sick people.

This ‘social justice’ term is just a euphemism for wealth distribution through the force of government. It is yet another way for leftists to use government to control you and I.

Auburn University usually makes the list of one of the most conservative universities in the country. But to walk through it is bewildering. The diversity and inclusion bureaucracy is huge with offices everywhere. Then of course you have Affirmative Action - Equal Opportunity - Title IX offices too. And there are compliance offices that get into the same field. Most graduate assistant instructors are Chinese or from other parts of Asia. The only students in laboratories during this shutdown are foreign students who are allowed into the buildings while others are not (because they can’t be sent home like everyone else).
One of the pet phrases of the NEA is the “Pipeline to Prison.” Roughly translated it means if a disruptive or delinquent student is acting out in your classroom or school and it is reported then you are to blame if the same miscreant grows up to be a criminal prison inmate. In essence, this warped logic calls for a suspension of discipline in the schools.
Peter Yarrow of Peter, Paul, and Mary is a huge supporter of “social justice” and headlined conferences on “restorative justice.” Just as I was getting involved with mediation, he became a huge influence on that movement so I’ve stopped my contacts with it. He’s a huge lib and a child molester. Funny how those things often go together. Here’s a quote from his Wikipedia article:

Belief in that mantra was a direct cause of the Parkland shootings.

The requirement to show “social justice’ activity in order to get into top graduate schools has been going on for at least 10 years. I helped one of my Sunday School students compose her application essays for the UC-San Francisco pharmacy school (#1 in nation 8 years ago) and all 4 of the essay questions required showing how she had helped minority students in the past. Fortunately, she had done a lot of it and got in. Today she is a clinical pharmacist in a huge LA hospital.
One of my other students who was recently admitted into the MIT PhD physics program also ran into requirements for showing adequate “diversity” activities as an undergraduate. Thankfully, it wasn’t as stringent as the UC-SF grad pharmacy school, but still it is stupid that it is part of any physics PhD program admissions process.
My U of MN prof friend says that the education department profs are absolutely crazy. Future K-12 teachers are being completely indoctrinated in SJW philosophy at the U of MN.
