The media have been lying about a potentially effective treatment for the COVID-19 coronavirus, Tucker Carlson reported this week.
“Well, here’s why,” the Fox News pundit told his audience last night. “Donald Trump is for it.”
Ever since the American president announced the use of hydroxychloroquine as a treatment for the coronavirus sweeping the world, the American media have been downplaying its potential, lying about it, and manipulating the public.
“If Trump is for it, they're against it, even if it might save American lives,” Carlson declared.
“What reactive children they are. And they immediately began a sustained push to discredit the drug long before the clinical results were in.”
Carlson cited both CNN and NBC, who accused the president of selling “unsubstantiated” or “false” hope. Some journalists have even held Trump responsible for the deaths of people who poisoned themselves with what they hoped were doses of hydroxychloroquine. CNN ran a story in which it claimed that a man in Arizona “has died after an apparent attempt to self-medicate with that drug.” In reality, the man and his wife swallowed chloroquine phosphate, an aquarium cleaner, allegedly believing this would protect them from the virus.
“During the course of that segment, by the way, CNN never mentioned that the man ate aquarium cleaner and not medicine,” Carlson observed.
“They lied about the substantial – in fact, the central – facts of what happened because they thought it might advance a political agenda.”

I thought that rolling this thing out was something we were all in agreement on here.
But a small few want controlled studies.
If one looks even a little bit, they will find studies conducted already.
Some are worried about expense. We’re about to spend SIX TRILLION dollars in the coming months and this med is 20 bucks a month :)
As for contra-indications, I expect that as with any combination of meds, the doc and pharmacist will take a look at what you’re on.
One can go online themselves nowadays and type all of their meds into a site to see the dangers and what level of danger they pose.
If one is that ill that they cannot, a family member can poke into it or at the very least ask the doc and/or pharmacist quetions.
The old and sick are dying.
Give these poor folk the medication.
Not blindly. But give it to them.
And not the aquarium version!!
Let’s not forget to mention.

So think about how much money they could make by having a 5 dollar drug prescribed VERSUS how much money they could make by having a 200 dollar drug prescribed.

if all we get were the nyt, wapo and cnn, one could easily be convinced that we live on bizarro earth and trump is its lex luthor emperor... alas some liberals still appear to restrict their news intake to msm sources... :(
Tucker is right. Many in the media want the drug to fail and for people to die in order to discredit Trump. Stop and think about how horrific that is. Trump Derangement Syndrome is a terrible mental disorder.

I’ve been keeping my eyes peeled for commercials for Hydroxychloroquine and have yet to see one. It’s a complete mystery. /sarc

I think the Coronavirus task force has started taking the Trump pills.
What if you’re in a state where the governor has banned its use and prescription? What can be done then?
Unless half the population is watching the other half 24/7/365, really hard to enforce the use. As for the prescription, drug dealers will fill the need.

Tucker is right on this-they want Trump out so bad they will wish ill on the country
ALL anecdotes of proper use describe success and near immediate (12 to 24 hour) significant improvement.
