Russia’s President Vladimir Putin took no chances this week when he visited coronavirus patients in a Moscow hospital, sporting a full hazmat suit and breathing mask to protect himself from the bug.

Video showed Putin getting suited up Tuesday in bright yellow hazmat gear by doctors at a Kommunarka infectious diseases hospital.

He then received help putting on a breathing mask, gloves and plastic coverings for his feet at the hospital, which currently has over 400 patients being treated for the virus, according to ABC News.

The Kremlin said Putin is expected to address the Russian people Wednesday afternoon in a televised speech about the reported rise in COVID-19 cases.

Putin has good image/PR advisors. They get him photographed hunting, hiking, visiting average people. And lighting candles in church.

Even our elites who claim to hate and fear him, don't really. They're putting on an act. When we genuinely feared Russia - when it was communist - we built bomb shelters and had a massive civil defense program, with continual warnings about the threat of nuclear attack. Nobody talks about that these days, nobody really sees Russia as our deadly enemy, whatever their rhetoric. I think what our elites really hate is Russia's stand on social issues. But that's just my speculation.

Well that and they materially support 2 countries that routinely throw tons of money and personnel at killing our soldiers and have been since the Iraq war.

But hey let’s not let THAT get in the way :)

Here’s where you’ll say we shouldnt be there.

Agreed. So that gives Russia and Iran and Syria the right to throw money and/or men towards killing ours!!

That was sarcasm. :)

Why are our men fighting in Syria? You support McCain/Hillary’s war against the Syrian government?

Yes, and the leftist elites hate that Russia is now capitalist.

” How about that playing chicken with Saudi Arabia over oil production limits?”

If that’s a reason to consider Russia an enemy, then shouldn’t we treat Saudi Arabia as an enemy too? We don’t.

I agree that’s why the Democrats hate Russia now. Russia is somewhat socially conservative which to the left is “not okay”, as the snowflakes say.

But at the same time there are legit reasons to be wary of Russia. Russia chums around with the world’s bad actors — Iran, China, North Korea, Venezuela — and is brimming with anti-Americanism. I see Russia as damaged goods with a dangerous inferiority complex thanks to its mind bending ordeal with communism and its collapse.

He can’t take the risk. He plans to President for Life.

Russia is just another of the many nations which have citizens incapable of self-government.

Russia is always up to something nefarious. It’s how they roll.

From what I can see, Russia tries to keep open relations with everybody, kind of like G Washington urged for America in his farewell address

One of the leaders Putin meets w most regularly is Netanyahu. Bibi even had a huge poster of himself w Putin hanging outside of his campaign headquarters. Google it. The poster was like three stories tall

“He can’t take the risk. He plans to President for Life.”

Nevertheless, Mrs. Putin still likely said at first, “You’re going out dressed like that?!”

That’s nice about Bibi. The problem is how readily Russia pals around with the likes of, say, Iran.
