Mitt Romney called on the federal government to send every adult $1,000 immediately to help cope financially with the economic damage caused by the spread of the coronavirus.
“Every American adult should immediately receive $1,000 to help ensure families and workers can meet their short-term obligations and increase spending in the economy,” Romney, a Utah Republican senator and 2012 presidential nominee, said in a statement.

I think Mitt can deal with the first few thousand of these out of his own checkbook, right this moment, without bureaucratic delay. Maybe every single one of the currently diagnosed cases. Go for it, Mitt!

Helicopter money never gives people the real reassurance that they need to get past a panic. The best thing the Congress could do would be to provide continuity of business insurance to small and medium sized businesses that do not lay off anyone during the shutdowns. This would insure that these business can maintain their operations without cutting into the employment rate which would be a serious trigger leading to a self fulfilling recession.
I’d spend it on whisky before the mormons close the liquor stores.

He’s a billionaire isn’t he? He can cover the cost.
Why not send him to Iran. He’s full of ideas among other things. And Iran needs help dealing with Coronavirus.
So the market has all but crashed. And now they want to devalue the dollar by printing more? That’s a double whammy on people who have been responsible and a gift to those that haven’t. A lot of American lives are being destroyed for a pandemic that has claimed a total of 6800 lives world wide. They better bring some sanity to this situation soon, or I fear things are going to really explode.
