Sir David Attenborough has spoken of his "desperate hopes" that a crucial climate change summit hosted by the UK this year delivers concrete action and is not blown off course by the coronavirus crisis.
The 93-year-old said the COP 26 conference in Glasgow carried the hopes of the world, and urged leaders to keep their "eyes on the ball".
In an exclusive interview with Sky News, Sir David called on governments to impose a ban on deep sea mining.
He said plans by big business to "trash" the sea floor could set back efforts to tackle climate change because of the role of the oceans in storing carbon.

if you were to take a bird’s eye view of a typical suburban sprawl in a typical affluent area, with its attendant automobile gridlock, you’d get an idea of what they are saying...of course, they go off the rails by recommending forced reductions of populations...
Then I saw it's merely some limey journalist and the article isn't worth wasting my time.
Sincere question: why is seasonal flu seasonal? Do outbreaks correlate with weather or temperatures? Would warmer av. year round temps have an effect one way or another?
This is the biggest instantaneous reduction in carbon emissions ever.
I agree with the problem, just not with their solution.
