A gun owner who went viral for delivering a compelling gun rights speech won the North Carolina lieutenant governor GOP primary, becoming the first African-American to achieve the feat.
Our message is so much more than the Second Amendment, which is a crucial issue, Republican Mark Robinson told Fox & Friends First. Its a message that touches on all the topics conservative North Carolinians are concerned with today. Robinson said that hes passionate about standing for the unborn. I believe that we need to purge abortion from our shores for the cause of life the same way that we purged slavery for the cause of liberty.
Robinson also cited the importance of standing up for veterans, law enforcement and ending indoctrination in our public schooling. Robinson gained to the Republican nomination for lieutenant governor on Tuesday in a crowded field. The former factory worker and daycare operator became a national spokesman of gun rights after a viral speech delivered before a North Carolina citycouncil in 2016. Robinson of Greensboro got the most votes and exceeded the 30 percent threshold needed to win outright and avoid a runoff, according to USA Today.
Robinson said that President Trump has done a fantastic and phenomenal job, attributing to the commander in chief an unprecedented low African-African American and female unemployment rate. Hes truly proven that conservative principles make life better for average everyday Americans. Hes proven that every day that hes in the White House.

Gun control is race control
Good for him, and all freedom lovers in NC.
EXCELLENT!
GUN CONTROL IS FREEDOM CONTROL.
Mark Robinson gets it and I wish him all the best in his race for Lt. Gov.
If you watch him, you quickly get the impression that Hes a naturally good speaker and connects with people on a personal level.
The News media who thinks we are the racist!! We aren't racist, sexist, homophobic or xenophobic, we are not that, just America loving Americans!!
Wow! Best YouTube video I have seen in a long time! I love this guy!
LIFE and the means to protect it...everything hinges upon those two values. If you can’t get those two, then your fiscal or foreign policy is irrelevant.
This man is a TRUE American in the sense that he defends worthwhile American values. We need MORE like him.
More power to him!
“Here’s to you Mr. Robinson”, you’ve got my vote, if only by mental proxy (I live north of NC).
Time that the “New South” rose up and told the “Old Democrat South” to “Hit the road Jackoff and don’t come back no more, no more”.
Mine too!
Damn. Definitely one to save!
I thought the threshold to avoid a runoff was 40% in NC, they lowered it?
The rat primary was a 27%-20% affair and the runner up, who had way more money and is White, declined a runoff. Rat nominee is a Black Black Woman, State Rep.
So, NC will have a Black LT Governor. Hopefully he has a penis and R next to his name.
The definition of “substantial plurality” in NC electoral law (which sets the minimum vote percentage required in order to avoid a runoff) was decreased from 40%+1 to 30%+1 effective January 1, 2018: https://codes.findlaw.com/nc/chapter-163a-elections-and-ethics-enforcement-act/nc-gen-st-sect-163a-984.html
If Dan Forest is elected governor and Mark Robinson is elected lieutenant governor this November, then Mark Robinson would be an ideal choice to run for Richard Burr’s U.S. Senate seat in 2022 (Burr already announced his retirement). But if Forest loses to Cooper while Robinson is elected Lt. Gov., we would need Robinson to stay as Lt. Gov. (which would force Cooper to stay in the state 24/7 lest the Lt. Gov. become Acting Governor and sign GOP bills ino law, etc.) for all four years and then run in 2024 to replace the term-limited Cooper.
But I’m getting ahead of myself. Let’s see if Robinson displays the skills needed to win a statewide general election first, and does a good job as Lt. Gov., before annointing him as a 2022 U.S. Senate candidate or 2024 gubernatorial candidate.
Unfortunately, I remember the number the media and Demonrats did to Bishop Jackson in Virginia when he got the Lt Governor nomination in 2013. Fascist-Racist Wreck-It Ralph Northam refused to shake hands with him. Should’ve been a sign of things to come.
If Mark Robinson can’t overcome the biased media and win the Lt. Gov. election this November, then he wouldn’t be our best candidate for the U.S. Senate in 2022, when the Leftist media attacks will be even more virulent. His Senate or gubernatorial runs would be contingent on him being elected Lt. Gov. this year.
