...While Amash would obviously have no chance to win the presidency if he ran as a Libertarian, he could theoretically peel off voters from Trump in the battleground state of Michigan, which may be the ulterior motive behind his potential run...

Who is CPUSA running this year?
International Green Party?
Socialist Party?
Socialist Democrat Party?
Socialist Workers Party?
Workers World Party?
Workers World Party?
“Anyone who doesn’t like Trump is already not going to vote for him”
Not necessarily true.
I know one guy in Michigan who would be stupid enough to vote for this goodball
Those Republican candidates bear their share of the blame when they support unconstitutional and unpopular nonsense like the War on Pot.
I hear you. And those same Republican candidates are to blame for opposing open borders.
Not at all - federal border control, unlike federal laws about intrastate marijuana policy, is Constitutionally authorized; and border control is much more popular than the War on Pot.
We need a Green candidate to get qualified in several key states.
I think the libertarian party is going to run Jacob Hornburger.
This guy is persona non grata in parts of Michigan. He is the Benedict Arnold of Michigan. He will not get elected as an independent. Run Justin Run as fast as you can too the border of Michigan. Choose which one you desire, Canada ohio, indiana or wisconsin. You have four choices. Good riddance to the rubbish Amash.
What they do NOT realize or comprehend is that come November a MASSIVE LANDSLIDE is coming down the mountain and will bury EVERYTHING in its path.
Amash is more likely to take votes away from Biden.
Dear Justin:
Yeah, you’ll get eight or nine votes. Enjoy spending your money, asshat.
“LP Chairman Nick Sarwark published a post on...”
I’m not a libertarian, but if I were, I would not support the Libertarian party in any of its very recent incarnations. They seem unrecognizable at the moment.
At least Ron Paul was consistent in his positions on war, the NAP, decentralization etc.
Have at it, stupid...
That’s exactly what happened years ago in VA giving the punk, McAuliffe, the governorship.
Oh yes Amash the Chinese made tools guy.............
I wish much pain, suffering, misery and turmoil in his life.
May he be cast out of office soon.
He puts personal interests above the country.
Yup. Except the guy running was a left-winger pretending to be a Libertarian to deliberately take votes from the Republican.
Amash is the Mitt Romney of the turncoat former GOP House members.
Re any campaign for the presidency, “A man has got to know his limitations”.
I think most honest Libertarians would never vote for this ego on LSD.
#19. Fungi: You’re too kind! /sarc, snark and bark
Amash is looking out for the family business. (Cheap Chinese Crap Tools made in Hangzhou by Dynamic Source International for Michigan Industrial Tools/TEKTON)
The Libertarian Party moved decisively to the Left in 2016.
Their candidate for president publicly supported Open Borders and Amnesty.
Their candidate for vice president publicly stated he would vote for Hillary Clinton if he was not on the Libertarian ticket.
In 2016, the Libertarians hurt Hillary Clinton more than they hurt Trump.
