Iranian President Hassan Rouhani scolded citizens for rumor-mongering and spreading false information about the virus. About an hour later, it was revealed that Iran's deputy health minister had tested positive for the virus.

The purpose of the “Bring Out Your Dead” ping list (formerly the “Ebola” ping list) is very early warning of emerging pandemics, as such it has a high false positive rate.
So far the false positive rate is 100%.
At some point we may well have a high mortality pandemic, and likely as not the “Bring Out Your Dead” threads will miss the beginning entirely.
*sigh* Such is life, and death...
If a quarantine saves just one child's life, it's worth it.
Stock up on food and paper products in order to avoid being exposed to high viral loads in a store over the next month or two.
Most amazing is that Iran admitted the Deputy Health Minister had the Virus an hour after telling people to sit down and shut up. Keystone Cops stuff right there.
So...go to the store to avoid going to the store...got it. ;)

Those grocery shopping delivery services were already getting big, now gonna get huge. In So Cal Inland Empire / OC the Stator Bros. Market does huge business. I once counted seven delivery shoppers pulling orders at one time. Wondering if there is a solution that will kill viruses on fresh produce other than cooking the hell out of it and not poisoning yourself?
Wait and go once a widespread infection has occurred. It’ll be a lot less crowded :).
