The Trump White House and its allies, over the past 18 months, assembled detailed lists of disloyal government officials to oust and trusted pro-Trump people to replace them according to more than a dozen sources familiar with the effort who spoke to Axios.
By the time President Trump instructed his 29-year-old former body man and new head of presidential personnel to rid his government of anti-Trump officials, he'd gathered reams of material to support his suspicions.
A well-connected network of conservative activists with close ties to Trump and top administration officials is quietly helping develop these "Never Trump"/pro-Trump lists, and some sent memos to Trump to shape his views, per sources with direct knowledge.
Since Trump's Senate acquittal, aides say the president has crossed a psychological line regarding what he calls the "Deep State." He feels his government from Justice to State to Defense to Homeland Security is filled with "snakes." He wants them fired and replaced ASAP.

Ok Liberal Axios, tell us how this is a problem?
They are freaking out. Yes there is a list too!!
80% into his term....
About damn time, this should have been going on in Feb. 2017.
Any given Deep State person or a Deep State approved person would have such a list prepared, or prepared for them, upon taking office. President Trump did not have such a list, nor was one prepared for him. You are right about it taking time for him to learn who these people were, and that he needs to encourage then to hastily depart. Better late than never, and when he wins re-election, I hope the trend continues on steroids. Many thousands of disloyal, incompetent, arrogant civil service leftist hacks need their walking papers.
Bump!
Please God, let this be true. President Trump needs to fire everyone below GS-13 and ALL SES employees and install thoroughly vetted patriots, preferably from the military vets.
It is way late to be doing this, but at least he should have trustworthy people in place for his second term.
Dear Lord please let this be true and let it be acted upon with a vengeance. This is exactly what we voted for. Drain the Swamp.
Let no one escape. Every last one of them!
We’re gonna need a:
Bigger Flash Drive
and a Bigger Plane to
Take these folks to a Bigger GITMO
This should have been done the day Admiral Rogers walked into Trump’s office and revealed the coup...cause that’s what it was and still is.
I won’t know what to think about this until Q Anon tells me what to think.
“Members of this network include Ginni Thomas, the wife of Supreme Court Justice Clarence Thomas”
What the hell?
The flunkies are GS-5 and the highest non-management are GS-12.
This is fabulous. However, Im addicted to Chris Plantes radio show.
Axios didn’t say it was a problem, they just reported it pretty objectively. Save your angst for the bazillion times when they and others deserve it.
I think Trump thought these people were like the private sector and that if there is a new boss, employees would naturally shift their loyalties to the new guy.
He felt that after the initial purge those that survived would feel that they had nothing to fear and realize that working for the new ruler was the safest course of action.
In Trump's case, there was no initial purge and so those faithful to Obama felt they had nothing to fear and there was no reason not to become loyal to the new leader.
That was Trump's mistake in taking control. He should have fired just about everyone and operated without leadership in many branches of government until he could replace people. The Deep State would not have functioned and sabotaged him as they did.
