The United States Air Force updated its official dress code policy this month, in observance of religious practices, to allow military personnel to wear turbans or hijabs as a part of the uniform.
The Air Force released an update to the “Dress and Personal Appearance of Air Force Personnel” code on Feb. 7, now permitting airmen to request a waiver to wear religious apparel while in uniform as long as they are “neat and conservative.”
The material used for headwear must resemble the color of the assigned uniform. This includes camouflage, and must be worn in a fashion that presents a “professional and well-groomed appearance.”

During my time in the USAF - 25 years - I was always told a beard was incompatible with gas masks (and oxygen masks for aircrew). Guess they now have new gas masks? And if so, I guess they will now allow beards for everyone?
They wouldn’t let me grow a mustache any bigger than Hitler’s....
When do they start dressing like nuns in latex habits? Can’t be that far away. Or maybe the Village People are getting a reboot with a new cast of characters.

I want to see you in that beard or hijab in the gas chamber. Not being able to wear your helmet lowers your defensive posture and puts everyone at risk. Can you swim qual wearing a hijab or turban or will you waterboard yourself?
Also, you are not exactly “uniform” if everyone may dress as they please.

Clearly our enemy has gotten its ‘nose’ under the military networks tent.
Several years ago at a seminar on manpower, or is it person power, at Randolph a general told the assembly that less than 1/3 of the age eligible population would make the first cut for screening let alone for aptitude / capability for job placement in the service.
We knew the nose was all the way under the tent when we got a Muslim as head of the CIA.
The JOB OF THE MILITARY IS TO PROTECT THE AMERICAN PEOPLE.
They are not doing their job.
If they were they would be rolling out plan for protecting Americans from bio-attacks. Intentional or accidental.
Instead we get this kind of crap. Liberal elite snowflake crap. Do the job pentagon...or pack it up and go home.

Little secret about the USAFA: It is a low quality institution. Students have a hard time failing out. I’ve seen D students in calculus still graduate with engineering degrees. It is more high school level hazing than leadership training.

Trump’s time as president aside, we are still headed for war and I have no doubt our military will be used against us. So, I hope they are ineffectual pussies that need their turban comfort blankies.

Based on what I have seen delivered from the academy I’m not surprised.
Somehow the USAF and maybe the USCG have become the petri dishes on the front lines of military social engineering. I have seen extremely well qualified officers and leaders passed over because of their failure to “demonstrate that they fully embrace” the diversity agenda of the USAF as declared by madam secretary.
Excellent warriors are passed over for not embracing diversity.
Weak officers are given rockets up their butts for demonstrating dedication to the social agenda. These quislings promote more just like themselves and tamp down the warrior / leader / patriot class who are still trying to accomplish the primary mission. The warrior class see the writing on the wall and leave as soon as they can. Soon there will be no warriors.
