Attorneys for Roger Stone on Friday requested a new trial, just a day after saying they were looking at potential bias by a juror who voted to convict the longtime Trump aide of lying to Congress and witness tampering.

He deserves one. Between the Obama Judge, The Obama prosecutors. And that Obama loving lead juror - he never had a chance.

He really deserves more than a new trial. He deserves to have all charges dismissed.

Assuming he gets a new trial, it’s up to Justice to refile. What will Bob Barr do?????

How can the deep state get a fair trail against him now that Trump has tweeted that he did not get a fair trial?

Apparently, Roger Stone himself may be his biggest enemy. He is said to have left more than enough evidence in his text messages. A treasure trove, as it was characterized by a prosecutor who has seen the evidence. His only hope is probably that the government would decide that a new trial would not be worth the effort.

If that were true then they would have charged him with more and they didn’t.

Would this prosecutor be a lawyer from the Justice dept?

I've only been called to a courthouse twice to serve on a jury.I was called about 10 years ago but, when I reached the entrance to the courthouse,a man in uniform looked at my card and said I wasn't needed and that I could go home.I was also called a couple of years ago.On that occasion I was told I needn't serve because I wouldn't be impartial. It was a drunk driver case and when I told the judge that my niece was killed by a drunk driver (which was true) he said "go home, you're dismissed".

I don't know if there are occasions when a potential juror is asked about political beliefs...but in a case like Stone's one would think that such questions might be asked. If any of the jurors in the Stone case had strong political opinions...as the foreman of his jury clearly did...that juror should have been dismissed.

Sounds like juror misconduct (or even perjury) to me...meaning verdict must be thrown out and new trial ordered.

Dismissed with prejudice....which means it cannot be tried again.

The reasoning....There's no way he can get a fair trial.

The man has been in jail for over a year, virtually bankrupted, had his name dragged through the mud, and his life is in ruins, all for “process crimes” brought during a hoax investigation and failed attempt to topple a President. Tried by a corrupt judge and prosecutors, and convicted by a biased jury. What an injustice. What a Country.

Let's just take one piece....Intimidating a witness. It was one of his buds...and he said he'd kill his cat. His bud laughed and said he certainly didn't feel threatened.

He talked to Assange's friend....so what. The FBI sets you up to lie...that's what they do...again and again and again.

Even Eddie Munster—who hates all things Trump—said what the deceptive jury foreman did was really bad and that Stone should have a new trial.

The corrupt jury foreman should face charges for lying to the judge about who she was and because of her outrageous public anti-Trump bias. She absolutely deceived the judge and the court, she needs to be held accountable.

“I would go for a change of venue also.”

He should have started with that. He probably did but was denied. There was another juror who was totally conflicted maybe even married to someone was part of the investigation.
He will not get a new trial. Trump is going to have to rescue this guy along with Flynn at some point. It may to wait until November but it must happen. Trump has a strong sense of what is fair and he will act when he can.
